BIG WIN 🥳 I made it 🎊🎊

I have no evidence of disease!!!! Having ovarian cancer has been the scariest experience of my life and I’m beyond thankful every day I pulled through. I have to continue testing routinely but fingers crossed everything stays on right path.
There has been so much that’s happened in such a short period. In March, I had pain in my side that was diagnosed as a UTI. No big deal. Then everything went downhill. The pain got worse and worse. The third doctor I saw discovered a giant tumor that stretched across my ovaries and most of my abdomen. It weighed 18 pounds on its own!!!
I started chemo almost immediately after my surgery. Things went south again, and I was in a coma for 11 days. I had to relearn how to talk after getting a trach. I spent almost a month at a rehab hospital building up my strength to walk again. And I’m so goddamn proud of myself.
I would never say I’m happy I had cancer. However, this experience has given me such an appreciation for everything. I still have things to figure out. I need to determine a career path. My medical bills are next-level insane. I physically can’t do some of the things I used to.
But I’m home, on the mend, cuddled up with my cats. And that’s what really matters <3

Yay!!! This internet stranger gives you hugs and much celebration of your hard efforts to fight this horrible disease. The disease has taken my grandmother and almost took my mother. It is a very horrible disease. I am giving you hugs and much love for kicking its ugly ass. 🎊🎉

I'm glad you're on the other side, my grandma survived ovarian cancer and got another 26 years out of life. Cheers to getting back to enjoying life!

Damn right you should be proud of yourself, I'm proud of you even though I don't know you. From the surgery to chemo to rehab to recovering, none of these things are a small thing to go through. You've every right to be proud girl, enjoy those cuddles w your cat and wishing you the best with recovery 💖

I work in the cancer field and I just wanna say that I am very proud of you. You dug deep and kept going. Don’t ever stop fighting each milestone is a win not matter how big or small. I’d suggest you speak to the social worker at your cancer hospital they can help you with some of the financial support

I'm so incredibly happy for you that there's no evidence of the disease!!! I could just cry for you.❤️ I'm relearning to walk and use my body in rehab right now and you're giving me so much hope. I hope it's alright!😆
And the appreciation thing is wild, isn't it?? I feel a little coocoo but it's there. I'll take whatever positivity I can muster.😝 Even if it's me gaslighting myself and I myself alone.

I’m currently battling leukemia. I didn’t go through an eight of what you did, but cancer is cancer and it’s evil.
I’m just glad you were diagnosed in time. The symptoms of ovarian cancer are so vague a lot of women get dismissed altogether or diagnosed too late.
