Exactly . I can’t believe that people think it’s real

Why didn’t she realize there was a motion alert from days earlier on the doorbell cam until after the second weird event? AI is so bad at plot timelines

I didn’t even think AI, but an early nosleep writer lmao

Plotholes are gonna plothole

u/firedmyass Sep 18 '26

perhaps you should fondly remember Rule 1

Always say happy birthday to strange men on the internet?

Happy birthday

This is a great nosleep story. Not real though

It was written by AI…

No cars. No alleys. No sidestreets.

Not this. That.
typical slop.

"Not barking. Not growling. Just staring ahead."

This has soooo many AI indicators lol.

Discuss what in depth? Her dog stared at a guy who said a weird thing and then…disappeared? And then reappeared? With the dog?? And also the dog was sitting on the porch at the same time she was walking him??? Nothing is connected or makes any sense even for a glitch in the matrix story

While I agree it's certainly not real and may not be Stephen King level writing, the bones for a decent no sleep type short story is certainly there.

The fact that it's supposed to be based around the Mandala effect being real would mean there's more than one timeline.

Seeing "her" dog with the stranger as well as on her porch at the same time she had her dog with her would lead us to assume the dog she saw was from another time line.

The execution may not be the best but the idea is pretty clever.

Yeah I agree the story bones are absolutely there but this story is bad, disconnected, and means/tells us nothing really. Even the suspense of the guy just disappearing is barely touched on. He’s there then he’s gone and it means nothing to OP so why should I care? Suspenseful things happen and there’s 0 impact actually in the story, all of it is manufactured by the reader hoping for a pay off. I’m judging based on what it is, not what it could be.

I don't know this story. How does it relate to the Mandela effect?

u/Nateinthe90s Sep 18 '26

The person reacting to this hand seems to start disappearing then it fully reappears in the next image! That's the real glitch

u/glttrsprnkl Sep 18 '26

it’s a green screen filter……

25

u/Nateinthe90s Sep 18 '26

NO REALLY?!

u/PurpleZombi3 Sep 18 '26

I'll take things that didn't happen for 200. The glitch in the matrix concept is cool and spooky and fun in the same way being in a creepy building is. But... at the end of the day do we really believe that we're all actually living in a computer simulation just like a famous film plot conveniently already laid out, because a grotesquely wealthy socially awkward tech bro billionaire said so?

"I just want to feel special" vibes for these kind of subs

2

u/PurpleZombi3 Sep 18 '26

Nah, it's just like whut?

-1

u/CoyoteFluffy0310 Sep 18 '26

Uh yes? 😅

3

u/sillygoldfish1 Sep 18 '26

If we stopped down every time someone had a mental break on TT or Reddit we'd never get anything done.

7

u/Formal_Plum_2285 Sep 18 '26

I don’t even care that it’s made up. It’s a cool story

7

u/NeoAteTheGreenPill Sep 18 '26

Ready to watch this on Netflix

3

u/suckerpunchxh Sep 18 '26

And it’s just a guy who lost his dog trying to meet up with the person who found him

3

u/suckerpunchxh Sep 18 '26

Also how tf is this a glitch in the matrix it’s just some guy who ran away

4

u/PerceptivePines Sep 18 '26

That’s creepy! I like it 😁

u/Routine-Bank5758 Sep 18 '26

Did anyone search peach tree plugged into a solar panel? It's probably the closest thing to a glitch in the matrix in this post!

if we want this to be true one reasonable explanation is the commenter was mistaken for an intelligence agency drop target and was being investigated for potentially being a counterspy. it sounds like the first meeting was a setup for a passphrase.

Can I have the link to the OG video?

2

u/fellofabuilding Sep 19 '26

the dog and the man were jinn

1

u/JaydicahAmber 27d ago

He probably lost a dog that looked like this one??

1

u/ihave30teeth Sep 18 '26

It seems like an awkward situation of mistaken identity on the dudes part..I bet he just has social anxiety or not great social skills. He probably thought the dog and person walking the dog were some he knew. Thus, "He remembers" but when he realized that he didn't know OP he said "He was supposed to bark" meaning if this dog was a stranger to him he should have barked at him rather than staring. OP seeing track pant dude the next day was OP walking the dog he actually knows. Must be a dog of a friend, relative or significant other.

TikTok is full of chicks just talking nonsense. It’s like your annoying ass cousin when you were younger, that just made shit up to sound cool.

1

u/ChristVolo1 Sep 18 '26

Ok, well, that's creepy. But since this sub seems to be full of unbelievers, this probably isn't the place to discuss it at length. 🙄 Maybe try posting this in r/strange, or r/unexplained. Maybe even in r/paranormal.

7

u/Once-Upon-a-Dream88 Sep 18 '26

It's not the sub, it's the disingenuous people out there posting obvious AI trash that casts doubt on the veracity of the story.

2

u/CoyoteFluffy0310 Sep 18 '26

How do you know without a shadow of a doubt that this is AI? I'm not refuting it. I'm truly asking.

3

u/Once-Upon-a-Dream88 Sep 18 '26

For one I use AI pretty regularly to bounce around hypothetical scenarios, and if you tell it to look at things through the lens of a fictional story it'll actually start writing a story. And they all read just like that one. For another, AI likes to do this "..." a lot.

Try it out yourself, Google AI will write a story for you and then you can compare. You just plug in the particulars and ask it to write a short story for you. Once you see the writing style, you'll know what I mean.

1

u/PlanetG3 Sep 18 '26

I know, this is insane! I would never believe it unless it was written out like that!

Who the fuck plugs a peach tree into a solar panel?
