US [US] US chances of stabilizing

Ive long since accepted that America has gone to hell, and that Trump is going to make us crash and burn harder than the U.S.S.R. But after all of that is said and done, do you think the U.S has any chance of stabilizing itself, like how Britain and Germany did after falling from power, or do you think the U.S. is going to end up like the Roman's and be wiped off the face of the earth?

It wouldn't be the worst thing to see the USA split into a number of different countries. Not 50 but more like 5-10. They'd have their own version of the EU, with Canada, and get along great but maintain their own identities.

Current USA is like a caveman with nukes. All stats on strength and none on intelligence (speaking of the politicians and military rather than citizens).

Blue states would do better without the federal government skimming taxes off the top. Red states (minus maybe Texas and Florida) would do worse without their subsidies.

The problem with that is that it'll likely lead to war, cause that's how country borders are decided nowadays

More so this, if Blue states left the union in a 'peaceful' manner. Divorce American style. We don't agree, let's go our separate ways. The Red States would attack them. That's more likely scenario.
