GLOW UP! [26] to [27] is this a solid glow up?

Between turning 26 and 27, I decided to take control of my health and went from 90 kg down to 65 kg. Honestly, this journey ended up being about so much more than just the numbers on the scale.

The biggest game-changer was fixing my diet: I stayed in a consistent calorie deficit, cut out ultra-processed foods, and made sure to hit my daily protein targets. On top of that, I committed to lifting weights 4 to 5 days a week combined with regular cardio sessions.

Beyond the physical transformation, this process completely rebuilt my discipline, mental clarity, and overall confidence. I feel healthier and more energized than ever before. Would you consider this a solid glow up? Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback

1

u/MFTrooper 3d ago

26 old? 🤣 I wish I had started at that age. I’m 40 and started 8 months ago. Down 50 lbs. was 275 now down to 225.

If you’re motivated do it now. Before kids are in the mix. I have 2 and work nights. Not that it’s impossible but why not make it easier on yourself when you only have to concentrate on yourself.

And great job to OP. Would love to look like that one day. 👍🏾

How did your social and personal life change after this massive Glowup?

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

whenever i walk into a room or even just walk past someone i can literally feel the vibe shift like the way people look at me is totally different now and honestly i started doing the same thing back to them other than that people notice me way more now im definitely in a much better place socially

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

i used to have zero confidence back in the day but now its literally on a whole different level i guess because people look at me differently and ive been improving myself im just way more relaxed and comfortable around everyone now

Wow man, amazing transformation, and in only one year! Wanna share your secret?

2

u/DiebM 3d ago

15 month actually well probably no secret but for me someone in my life just said bad things then i just tried to be better?

2

u/TrichyHalfElf 3d ago

Well, that’s the best way to respond to people saying hurtful stuff. I’ve had that happen, and I’m also the type of person to show people what I made of as a response to their cruelty. Some people will hear those same things and just curl up into a ball, but others will take it as a challenge.

1

u/Rezukiel 3d ago

Hey man what’s your routine look like? I’m going to be starting in the gym soon and I don’t really have a good starting point

1

u/DiebM 3d ago

classic nothing fancy 8 months only 3 days a week 1.30 hours daily full body workout and after that i just hate full body style and goes upper lower rest upper lower rest rest till failure almost every time trying to lift heavier than yesterday thats all just basic things and you need to put your ass to that and it will happen

1

u/DiebM 3d ago

and most important one diet tracking every gram of food

1

u/nuee-ardente 3d ago

What’s your height? How much deficit you were at the whole time, like up to 400-500? How did you deal with the ordeal of tracking food? You definitely nailed it. As someone who is skinny fat and tries to do body recomposition, you give me hope.

1

u/DiebM 3d ago

Starting without track when weight loss drops i start track try to go -500 as possible but last 3 week i eat 1300 kcal and the hunger is realy hell and mirror and scale says nothing working but last day when u wake up something change and u see on mirror/scale u nailed it thats how i did it real problem is fighting with hunger i sleep almost 12hrs a day cuz when i get hungry on nights i go bed early so i can sleep long and when i get up finally i can eat lol and 3 days a week 30 min slow cardio

1

u/nuee-ardente 2d ago

Weren’t you worried about the deficit affecting your recovery and muscle building? A deficit of 500 calories seems to be on the edge. I’m in a similar position for body recomp and I go to the gym 3-4 times a week. My diet goes from 10-15% deficit to 10-15% surplus depending on the day, although I track most of it. I didn’t improve last year and sort of blamed it on my diet, so I changed it.

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

Well i didnt care anything actually first time i just wanna see my abs then i know i can build it faster if i drop to that % fat

1

u/Opposite-Dot2684 2d ago

Yes 🥹 yes please

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

Thank uuu

1

u/Ok-Beginning1232 2d ago

Looks like a completely different person. Congrats! 🥳

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

1

u/Dependent-Comment198 2d ago

1

u/DiebM 2d ago

1

u/Ok-Beyond244 1d ago

Wait how!? I look like you do in the before pic. I can never pack on any muscle and if I do it's mostly fat. How did you get like this?????

1

u/DiebM 1d ago

On before photo you are right no muscle only fat i was alcholic these days then change my life go to gym push harder for 15 months taa daa this happens 😅

1

u/Spanish_Wardog 3d ago

Let you beard grow a little more and a fresh haircut and 10/10

2

u/DiebM 3d ago

I tried beard and beard not for me lool

1

u/Spanish_Wardog 3d ago

So fresh haircut and gg

1

u/sweetroll_enthusiast 3d ago

I like your current hairstyle I don't think you need a haircut, it suits you. Also not everyone needs a beard lol you look good that way

1

u/DiebM 3d ago

i get that comment mostly wolfcut and a little bit hair on facial is fine probably if i try beard or mustache i look a like ottoman empire monarch lol

0

u/sweetroll_enthusiast 3d ago

Lol I can imagine hahaha But I noticed a pattern here that somehow people in the comments suggests to each single man he shall grow a beard. I don't rly get it because I think there also are many men who look excellent clean shaven or only with stubbles. I don't get the beard obsession, it's not the solution for all problems lol.

Edit: grammar

2

u/DiebM 3d ago

i agree that beard/mustache not suits for everyone

0

u/sharkattacks28282 3d ago

Hard to believe this is the same person tbh

1

u/DiebM 3d ago

Well i did it then same phone atleast 🤣

2

u/sharkattacks28282 3d ago
