Are we actually running the "go-go" offense?
So I understand the the OC, Brennan Marion, has a highly productive offensive scheme that he invented. But I'm seeing people say that Marion is simply calling plays from Coach Prime's playbook. Can somebody inform me which scheme we're actually running?

Our offense does not look the same as the Sac St highlight videos. Granted those are probably cherry-picked examples. I also think Sac St is not playing against GT, NW, and Big 12 level competition.
At Sac St it didn't require a great QB, just a competent QB to distribute the ball and occasionally run it themselves. You start to see why it does not work for CU.
Our O-line is inconsistent, our QBs cannot read the defense quickly and make the right decision, we give up on the run game too early which makes us one-dimensional and easier to defend, too many WR/TE drops, really bad TE play, and Marion is deviating from his standard formations - probably to try and take advantage of our supposedly great WR room.
The end result is not the go-go offense.

Ironically, I think slater would have been great in this offense. There were so many wide open holes that if Wilson was even a semi competent runner would have resulted in first downs and more

Typically the defining factor of the go go offense is two RBs lined up next to each other on one side of the QB. I've seen that formation very little and have been confused as to why.
Also Deion does not have a playbook. He's never been a coordinator or schematic coach of any kind. He's really not even a football coach if we're being honest.

Isaac Wilson had 44 pass attempts in his first start. Run game totally abandoned. Micah has been great all year. No opportunity for him to get into a rhythm. Marion has been, by any objective measure, completely over his head

He's clearly running his own scheme. His scheme also relies on having competent tight ends and a quarterback that is at least a little bit of a threat running.
But there's something off about the scheme in terms of having so many two man WR routes and and the offensive line isn't doing a great job blocking right now.
Players not matching scheme? Players not understanding scheme?
They pile up yards which makes feel like they just need a bit better execution and cleanup and points will come?
Who knows.
