Current weather in Athens
I have a much anticipated trip to Athens and will be arriving on Sunday! However, I have just read from some sources that there are heavy storms now (although weather forecast websites seem to show it’s sunny?). Can anyone share the current weather conditions in Athens and if it may affect my trip such as flights, transport etc? Thanks!

Right now not a single cloud to be found. Yesterday it was raining all day. We do not really have storms as you expect them, its usually cloudy for a day or two, it rains heavily for a day (usually starting a few hours before sunset and through the night), then its back to being sunny. its about 300 days of sunshine per year on average.

Try NaxosTimes, Naxos Press, eKathimerini, a simple Google search. I have friends from college (we are 75+) who are supposed to sail in a large yacht out of Pireaus today or tomorrow. Nothing is leaving Pireaus at the moment. But if the winds die down and the clouds clear- a big IF- it will be wonderful.
The web cam I view every morning is sadly too fogged over to see anythiing. It looks out at the Naxos port- naxosisland.eu.

Right now it's quite miserable, but will improve over the weekend. Still quite low temperatures for the season.
