Where should I go? Greece Itinerary -Looking for suggestions
/r/Santorini/comments/1x89d30/greece_itinerary_looking_for_suggestions/I'm planning a trip to Greece during the Easter holidays next year. The dates are from 25th of March to 4th of April. We are a group of eight adults and one six-year-old boy. We want to spend a few days in Athens and then hop onto one of the islands. We cannot decide between Santorini, Naxos and Crete. We want to visit Santorini for obvious reasons, but we don't know if it is a good idea to visit the island with a child, especially because of the steep stairs and the cliffs and the general terrain of the island. So looking for suggestions on what a good itinerary would look like.

I think either option could be good if you're not aiming to go to beaches as your main purpose. Crete probably has more to offer in terms of culture, but Santorini would be cool for a kid, especially the volcano. I think you could avoid difficult walking conditions if that's what you're worried about. You would fly in that time of year anyway so no need to worry about getting up from the port.

Crete season opens up earlier due to warmer weather. It also has the most to do. Easy decision IMO

That time is still early in the season. You don’t include what your interests and intentions are for the trip. Note that Easter in Greece is 2 May next year. Also, 25 March is a national holiday.
Not beach or swimming weather. Many tourist businesses especially on Naxos and Santorini will likely still be closed.
Crete is a good option. Lots to see and do, even at that time. Only beach resort areas will still be mostly closed, though some parts may have options. Car rentals are highly recommended.
