Barricade neat 35th and 34 HW

There’s a high police presence and a barricade heading south on 35th avenue towards HW34 in Greeley. I noticed at 6:30 am this morning heading into work this morning and it’s still there does anyone know what’s happening? Is everyone alright?

Motorcycle accident

There was also a fatal motorcycle accident at 59th Ave & 10th St yesterday morning. I don't understand why laws allowing lane sharing passed when motorcycle drivers already assume so much risk on the road. Meanwhile it's illegal to not wear a seatbelt.

Colorado's lane splitting law is only for stopped traffic or real low speeds, it's not like cali's

It's lane filtering not splitting.

Lane splitting IS ILLEGAL in Colorado. Always has been. What IS legal, is lane filtering which can only be performed when cars are at a stop, and motorcycles are traveling at or below 15 MPH.

Tell me you don't ride a motorcycle, without telling me you're one of the ones that don't "look twice to save a life" while driving.

Has anyone actually confirmed that there was lane splitting going on that caused this accident?

I believe lane splitting was the determined to have happened for the accident that happened earlier this week on 34 at 23rd. Regardless the cause, three fatal motorcycle accidents in one week is insane.

If I had a literal dollar every time I've nearly been run off the road and killed by some imbecile paying more attention to their effing PHONE than the road ahead and the task at hand, driving, I'd be able to buy a new motorcycle within a year. That's a big part of why these car+motorcycle accidents happen. Distracted Driving.
