G2 | Discussion Broken canteen?

If it’s a charcoal canteen then yeah it has durability, it can be repaired with charcoal and I think glue but you need to actually go into the little menu for each item to do it i think you press like right stick

I think there is pupa around the gnarly bark region that will unlock it when scanned.

Right click it, should be able to repair it through that.

No but the R hotkey for repair on PC doesn't work for the canteen for some reason. You have to actually right click and select repair from the drop down menu

Pretty sure the hotkey doesn’t work on any platform, have to use the menu on Xbox too

The hotkey works for me on xbox. Its the rb button.

You can use repair glue on it, however the charcoal canteen seems to be bugged or something because it uses durability even when scooping from clean sources (water towers, Dew drops, and acorn water storage).

A lot of people seem to think it’s not worth it, but you get to a point when grinding gold cards where you have 400+ bug parts and glue is the only thing they can really be used for if you play a lot.

Yeah i always carry a stack of 30 glue on me, i always have a batch ready in my glue masher and i have plenty of resources to make more

Plus i dont use my canteen all that often so the durability factor doesnt concern me all that much

This.

You already essentially have to carry the glue, and 1 repair glue takes up the same space as 30 in the inventory. Plus, I look for dew drops when I need water and typically save my canteen for places where water just isn’t accessible.
