Okay. This looks great. What Hawkeye opinion will get you like this?

In MCU restart he should have a series, probably in some way similar to Daredevil, with his circus background covered and Black Widow involved

Everyone talks about how fox ruined cyclops but mcu ruined Hawkeye way more to the point he doesn't even resemble his comic self

My two favorite comic characters are taskmaster and Hawkeye, both of which were adapted quite differently than their comics.
For obvious reasons I have a strong distaste for MCU Taskmaster. Taskie could absolutely work as a girl but with that movie they basically just showed that they never learned their lesson from the way Deadpool was handled in X Men origins Wolverine.
On the other hand, I love MCU Hawkeye. Sure, it’s significantly different than comic Clint Barton. But I think they translated the vibe of the character very well while simeltaneously doing their own thing, sort of like comparing Matt fraction Hawkeye to something like the WCA version. They read as totally different characters with a lot of shared traits. They’re like the same genre of man even if specifics are different. Historically this sort of adaptation has been the most successful, not just in the world of superheroes but in basically all movie and tv adaptations lol. To a certain extent I understand wanting a more comic accurate Hawkeye but I think calling renner’s character bad or disappointing compared to the comic version is just a little silly given the character’s history of changes.

yeah every time he's on screen I'm just disappointed. I haven't read Ultimates myself but supposedly he's based on that version, so maybe he actually resembles ultimate Hawkeye.

He's actually a way better dude that Ultimate Hawkeye. He's far closer to like... The Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon Hawkeye.

Earth’s mightiest Heroes Hawkeye is much better though, I think he’s just more 1610 inspired with the costume and fact he has a family

Better how?

Well for starters he actually has a costume not just a shield outfit that makes him look like a regular agent, he also has much better dynamics with the other characters especially Hulk and Black Panther, I rewatched the show recently and found him to be a standout as opposed to the mcu, he would constantly save the other Avengers from big threats and displayed a wide range of skills.
MCU Hawkeye to me is just ok, EMH version had more personality he’s much more cocky, has different love interests and also just way cooler in general.

I think the main problem Clint had in the mcu was his limited screen time, sometimes he only had about 10 minutes in each movie, he wasn't even in Infinity war, he had very little dialogue, and they didn't show us anything about his past. That's why we didn't see everything you describe, because they very rarely focused on him.

I gave my girlfriend Matt Fraction hawkeye, and we watched EMH together while drunk.
She says her favorite marvel character is Hawkeye now but refers to MCU hawkeye as Jeremy Reiner with a bow.

Kate's original origin having nothing to do with Clint was better than the being rescued by him one that Lemire shoved in there

Boyd Holbrook as Clint is David Corenswet as Superman level of comic accurate casting

You know, i could never decide who i would want as a perfect clint casting. Now i know

I honestly thought it was a fairy common fancast but maybe I'm in a bit of an echo chamber bc I like it so much

Jeremy Renner was the best casting for a MCU role besides RDJ and Samuel L Jackson

I’m not a chick, but if Jeremy Renner did wear that costume, or something aesthetically similar I’d buy that action figure

Fraction/Aja's Hawkeye run would make a fantastic animated movie.
The Hawkeye show adapting a handful of scenes was the most worthwhile part of the show.
