General Tentative Decision: Dr. Patty (Pukpinyā Jangjetriew) & Dr. Ratchathorn Pancharaprateep to be added to list of scoutable doctors

After considerable discussion and no objections raised, we’re posting a tentative decision to add the following surgeons to the list of scoutable doctors:

• Dr. Patty (Pukpinyā Jangjetriew)

• Dr. Ratchathorn Pancharaprateep

This is not a final addition yet. As with all candidates, we are looking for independent, patient-posted reviews (not surgeon-submitted or clinic-promoted content) to support inclusion.

If you are a patient of either surgeon and are willing to share your experience, please feel free to do so. Reviews should ideally include:

• Clear before / after photos

• Timeline details

• Graft count and technique

• Honest discussion of positives and negatives

Once sufficient independent documentation is available, the mod team will revisit this and make a final determination.

Progress Update Day 202 / Almost 7 months – 2,163 graft hairline update / Bekir Bek

Was going to wait until the full 7 month mark for another update, but I’m really happy with how the density has been coming in recently.

Surgery was on 1st April and today is 20th October, putting me at Day 202. I had 2,163 grafts placed around the hairline only.

I’ve included the same pre op and immediate post op pictures from my previous updates, along with some new photos from the last few days.

The biggest change for me since month 6 has been density. At this point I’m not really looking at the hairline wondering whether it’s going to fill in anymore. It feels more like I’m watching it gradually become thicker and more mature every few weeks.

The difference when I slick everything back is probably what I’m happiest with. Earlier on, I could clearly distinguish the transplanted section from the thicker native hair behind it. That transition is becoming much harder to see now and the whole frontal area is starting to look like one continuous head of hair. There’s still a an unbalance with my native and transplanted hair, especially with the look I’m going for, but il keep on top of that with my barber.

I’m also really happy with how the actual hairline has turned out. Looking back at the pre op pictures, quite a significant amount of the corners and frontal area needed rebuilding, but it doesn’t look overly straight or harsh now that the hairs have grown out. There’s enough irregularity at the front that it looks pretty natural to me.

There’s definitely still maturation to come as well. Up close I can see hairs around the frontal edge that are finer than the native hair behind them, so I’m hoping there’s still another decent jump in calibre and overall density over the next few months.

Current protocol:

Dutasteride 0.5mg x5 a week
Oral minoxidil 5mg daily
Biotin daily

Honestly really happy with where I’m at for Day 202. Months 4–5 were when things first started becoming noticeable, months 5–6 made a big difference, and now approaching month 7 it feels like the density is starting to properly come together.

Still only a little over halfway through the usual 12-month timeline, so I’m very interested to see how much further it matures from here.

For anyone who saw another noticeable improvement after month 7, was it mainly the existing hairs getting thicker or did you continue seeing a lot of new growth as well?

Just thought I’d share this before and after. I’ve included a photo with harsh down lighting to show the accurate density. The last photo is AI to show what I’m hoping the final result will be. I want to grow the hair longer and rock a nice flow hairstyle with a cheeky loose perm.

Happy to answer any questions!

Seeking Advice Women - Was it worth it? Looking at FUE transplant.

• Upvotes

I've currently have the opportunity to have a FUE hair transplant in Chicago in the next couple of weeks and I'm looking to restore my hairline. The consultation said I'd be a great candidate for about 2000 grafts.

Did you find your procedure worth it? I'm being quoted $13k.

I would absolutely love some advice from women or men. THANK YOU!

Progress Update First Transplant Day 14 Update

Just recently had my first hair transplant at Mo & Line Plastic Surgery with Dr. ByungKwon Lee and would like to share my amazing experience in Seoul, South Korea. He specializes in female hairlines but also does male patients as well but part of his draw was the fact that he does mostly females, since I wanted a more natural hairline.

These are pictures from day 14. All the redness is gone, and the scabs from the donor site are 95% gone. No pain or itchiness in hairline, still slightly sore here and there in donor area. But all in all, I think recovery is going really well.

Seeking Advice Going alone is a bad idea?

I want do to a HT that is 5 hours of train far from my home, but I want to go alone because I have no one to ask. I don't want to bring no one in this, like they have to watch over me for 3 days since I wouldn't go out and walk safely around the city, since my head would be super big.

So I think I have to go alone, but will I be able to do all the stuff I need? I mean, I would sleep in a hotel for two nights, during the day I will cook just some rice or stuff and then I'l take the metro to go to the airport and come back in my town (on the way to go I take the train, but in the coming back I prefer the plane since it is faster).

Do you think this plan can work? I'm also afraid of getting so much bored alone in a room for 2 days... what do you think guys

Seeking Advice 15 days on finasteride 1 mg and noticing less firm erections. Could this be temporary or anxiety?

I’m 15 days into taking finasteride 1 mg daily for male-pattern hair loss, and I’ve been getting increasingly anxious about potential side effects, especially PFS.
Recently, I’ve noticed that when I masturbate, I can get an erection, but sometimes it doesn’t feel as firm as it used to. A few days ago, my erections felt completely normal, so this seems to fluctuate. I’ve also noticed that sometimes I don’t feel like masturbating, although I understand libido can naturally vary.
I’ve been reading a lot about finasteride’s sexual side effects and PFS, and honestly, it’s constantly on my mind now. I’m not sure whether what I’m experiencing could be anxiety, normal day-to-day variation, an actual side effect of finasteride, or some combination of these.

I’m not looking for horror stories or false reassurance. I’d appreciate honest experiences, particularly from people who have been in a similar situation

Seeking Advice Temporal peaks 3 months 2 weeks

Hey so HT is going really well overall density on the hairline is very good but I’m having trouble finding info about temporal peaks and growth some people say it’s faster some say it’s slower than the hairline but I was just curious based on my actual hair shafts from earlier weeks the density and coverage look amazing but I’m just stressing it’s the only point on my whole HT that is lacking is this one area. Could it just be that the hairs are too blonde to see or too thin since they’re singles?

General 12 days post-op (5,400 grafts): is an umbrella enough to protect from the sun?

Hey everyone, I had my HT (5,400 grafts) 12 days ago.

I went back to work yesterday. It's about 100 meters (~330 ft) from my place to work, roughly a 5-minute walk.

I get some sun along the way, so I've been carrying a regular black umbrella to make shade and keep the sun off my head.

Does that actually help protect the grafts? And is it really necessary?

I mean, I know sun exposure is bad, but at what point does it actually start to matter?

I head home at noon, so there are moments when the sun is really strong, even if only for a short time.

Now I'm at 6-7 month maybe?

I got nice results in front. But the front left side is getting into a point of concern now. Should I wait for the results around March 2027? Or accept the results I got now.

The 3rd picture is the left portion.

Seeking Advice Experiences with Fuecapilar / Dr. Doğan Turan?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to do a small touch-up hair transplant at Fuecapilar in Istanbul to add a bit of density and irregularity to the hairline from my previous hair transplant I did 3 years ago.

I've been quoted €3,300 for 750–1,250 grafts with the standard package (Tuğçe Şengül Turan) and €3,300–€4,300 for the premium package (Dr. Doğan Turan). At these prices, I'm leaning towards the premium package.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's had a procedure there recently. How was your overall experience, and are you happy with the results? I've come across both positive and negative reviews, so I'm a little unsure whether to proceed with it or not.

One thing that makes me hesitant is that they've told me I need to pay the deposit before November 1st to secure the quoted price, as their prices will supposedly increase to the new "2027 prices" after that, essentially only giving me 10 days to decide.

Has anyone else been told this? I'm wondering whether it's a genuine price increase or just a sales tactic to pressure people into booking sooner.

Any honest feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Seeking Advice Started finasterdie and minoxidil too late?

I have hair transplant in one week. I only started minoxidil and finasteride about 5 weeks ago. There’s so many vellus (baby hair) coming back. I am a Norwood 7, so I didn’t think any hair would come back in the areas that has been bald for quite sometime.

On the day of the hair transplant, what will the doctor do with those areas with regrowth? Of course it’s only been a month so those baby hairs are super fine, and could be seen under light.

Seeking Advice Is it safe to jog 2 weeks post transplant?

It’s been 2 weeks since my hair transplant and everything has healed. There’s no pressure and whatnot. Transplanted hair seems to be growing like the rest of my hair. I’ve been walking I think since day 8. I used to jog everyday pre transplant. Is it safe for me to go back to jogging now?
