Is Nathan self-insert?

I didn’t use her name to avoid spoilers.

Nathans been dead for around a year and Shayna started living there for around a year as well .

I was thinking what if Shayna broke in the hotel for her grandpas prophecy (and her outstanding warrant) , found Nathan laying there then called 911 and hid so the cops wouldn’t suspect here for doing anything and just continued living in the hotel .

Back in S1, would you have expected that she wasn’t a ghost and would go on to become a recurring supporting character in S2?

In honor of October I did a fanart of a bunch of my favorite monsters seen in Haunted Hotel like

Abaddon

Mortoth

Grey Ghost Boy

The Mist

Slender Ghost

Shadowman

Candlehead

The Snatcher

and The Mothman and I hope you all love it and I hope Haunted Hotel gets greenlit for 12 more seasons 👹🏨👻🎃☠️🐺🥰😁✒️✏️✍️🎨🖌

Like the character of Maris on Frasier, Maris is never actually seen on screen but everyone is constantly dropping the most out of pocket lore about her

I want Shayna to keep sharing her anecdotes about her crazy history but I never ever want to see a proper episode exploring it

I just want the random lore drops

Season 2 was cool, i really liked the Ghost day episode.

Drawings with story scenes will be coming!

...her body being locked in a room for six days, presumably without food, water, nor likely much movement? Other than death, which would be the most realistic, but also most boring, outcome for someone going six days without water.

I don't really know how to explain it and maybe this won't make much sense to some people, but those last few minutes along with the song felt so raw and real. It made me feel something so strong that I still can't get it out of my head. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar reaction.

It was said that she died at a dinner party and was hanged before dessert, and her hangman told her where the poison was. But why would a strangler have poison? This kind of implies that he killed her and then did the same to himself, which is strange because it indicates a certain personality in the homicide, but she only calls him a strangler showing disinterest in him as a person

This makes me wonder, is there another explanation for her death or simply someone she didn't care so much hated her so much? Or did she just not say who he was because she was in a hurry and didn't want to give context? This doesn't seem like her profile, she is dramatic enough to tell who killed her if it was an important person to her. I'm confused

This is more of a shower thought/high question but if a ghost is confined to the property that it died on, could you buy more property and increase the area the ghost are allowed to go?

And then if that’s true - do you acquire the ghost of the land you acquire? IE if Katherine bought the city from The Undervale to the Light House could Nathan see Bridget?

This may be dumb - I took some cold medicine earlier so I’m feeling a little loopy probably.

I kinda had higher expectations of the new season. Don’t get me wrong I like the show a lot and the characters as well but I was really hoping we’d get deeper in Nathan’s life.

When they brought up his death being a suicide in the first season I had such high hopes it was going to be a show that digs deep into the issues of characters. Like I wanted to know more about Nathan’s reasoning and feelings going on in his head other than “he was sad and lonely,” with a short montage to go with it. Idk maybe I just had too high expectations for this show.

I’ll stay tuned in for season 3 and I hope they go more into it, Nathan feels like the main reason I’m watching.

My all time favourite scene is where Abbadon gets pissed because he's given Cheerios, and not Froot loops.

I hope he was eventually given his Froot loops, even if off screen.

i know we won't actually see that happen because it's a cartoon and they never age, but i have nonstop been thinking about what will nathan's life be like as everyone around him grows. ben and eather will go off to college, katherine will slowly get older. i'm curious what everyone thinks will happen

Shes the youngest aunt of esther and ben, I did lots of fun with her design

I really loved the series, so I wanted to know

I know he really can't do much since he's trapped in a human body; however, he's immortal, can regenerate and can't age. So he's not completely powerless. Is there anything else he can do? Or is just having an indestructible body all he has?
