Why?

A whole new side of Sherlock Holmes: In this new series, the master detective gives relationship advice.

I have no problem gender-bending Holmes, but gender-bending AND making them some kind of romance detective feels like we’re now just playing to gender stereotypes.

Also makes me wonder why you’d make it Sherlock Holmes if you’re going to change almost everything about them.

Honestly if you want to do something like this and still have a tie to a famous authour, do a Agatha Christie's Parker Pyne series! Miss Lemon shows up in a few stories, even, you could make it a Poirot prequel.

Please leave beloved books and characters that you did not create, alone. Please and thank you.

Ugh...how inane and awful sounding. I usually give the various series a chance but this is a pass.

Anything but an actual adaptation.

Now lots of times it's just a name for them to use.
