Exactly. I was thinking Amstrad CPC or Tandy 1000, which had the same bright colors. If they're making this in assembly, more power to them, but this would feel more at home in a mid-80's computer.

Yeah in aesprite I use a cga 16 color palette, idk why I just love the look so much. But I just find making a game for the SNES much cooler

This could be really cool if specific elements take advantage of the full color palette to contrast with the usual vibe.

Ignore haters. It’s cool I like the style. I’m developing my own ps2 game and I make gameboy games

Love that graphics theme. consider also doing it for the the Zx spectrum, this looks perfect to fit

This doesnt look like SNES at all though? Looks more like old EGA graphics.

They're just using Nostalgia baiting with a more recognizable retro console name to grab more attention. They know exactly what they're doing.

It is a SNES game, it's all assembly code. A SNES game can look like anything, think about yoshis island and claymates. Its running on SNES but my own style

Looks like a ZX Spectrum game. I would have thought it very strange back in the 90's if a SNES game was released that had so few colors and such low resolution. Not a slight, it looks good. It just doesn't look 16 bit. The SNES could display 256 of its 32.768 colors on screen at once.

Its cool! It looks really strongly like one of the screens in Loom.. though I'm struggling to find a screen shot of the exact one

This looks sick! Hope you see it through, even if it's short. I'd boot up on my CRT.
