This sub needs better mods.

These mods are pissy. A great convo with nearly 50 comments about punching down removed. Who runs this sub? Hot take. They suck.

you can make jokes, but mods definitely take note of people, and then when a decent excuse is brought forth, they whip out the ban hammer

I've honestly given this a lot of thought because so far, I feel like I've been putting in good work and applying neutral bias on the posts we get. I wish I'd showcase screenshots of the absolute TRASH I get in modmail of what appears to be fully grown adults crashing out over the removal of a comment. Literally, just a comment. No bans, no mutes, just removing a simple comment.

But I've only been modding this sub for not even a month. I feel like I'm in the honey moon stage. Will I be able to maintain my cherry attitude despite the toxicity that gets blasted at me daily? I'd like to think so but, it's an open question.

Are all mods destined to turn into the meme Reddit makes us all out to be? Will my beloved contributors of this sub succeed in turning me into a hateful, illogical, power hungry guy who delights too much in this meaningless power over a Reddit sub?

Probably not. Maybe? ......it's classified.

Yeah, that's how moderation works. Take note of problematic users and if they continue being disruptive, toxic, or rule breaking, then ban them.

maybe these mods won't care much, but in many reddits doing this sort of thing is almost certainly going to get you in trouble with them

They're doing work. I would honestly hate to be a mod for this sub. People are really straddling the line between a hot take and bigotry meanwhile tons of other posts are just genuinely shit.
