Discussion Can anyone identify/explain?

Post image

Had ChatGPT make this image based on what I saw at a camp just outside of Blue Ridge, GA. On the way back to camp Friday morning at 1:30am coming from Waffle House, a buddy and I saw something like this crouched behind the caretaker’s white horse in its field. When it was crouching, it was in pounce position like a cheetah about to attack a deer but it looked like all legs and arms were a perfect 90 degree angle. It was just a black silohuette. When our headlights hit it, it stop up and was about 8 or 9 feet tall. It looked like I had someone sitting on my shoulders wise height and I’m 5’7”. The body was like a person’s almost like a demogorgon body but not the head. The body looked pale but dirty and was an average build. The head however had a face but only eyes and a mouth. No other facial features but I don’t even remember seeing a mouth. The head was like how slender man is but the eyes were a dark crimson red, like the color of blood.

Dang buddy this creature was described almost exactly in this hunter encounter. He claimed it was in a clearing and he was lookin at it in his scope. And it like knew someone was nearby and "looked" around and threw it's head back and starting calling for help in a wounded woman's voice. He said he put the rifle down super slow and quiet and ran as fast as literal hell to his truck not stoppin once.

Well, yeah. It always is.

Are you saying that this specific person has always written interesting stories or that anyone recalling an experience is just faking it? I, for one, have described true events that have happened to me with as much detail as I can remember and I know that anybody reading my stuff has the right to believe me or not. Your comment didn't really help me understand that, but I know subreddits like these are so quick to brush every post off as "useless" if the reader didn't already somehow have factual evidence they could compare with. 🤷

9 times out of 10 these stories that crop up on Reddit are someone's creative writing project.

Oh ok, you've verified all of them.

Sounds like a type of crawler

Thank you! I just found out from another comment that a crawler is a thing! Do they have the ability to mimic? We heard bird sounds that sounded like a bird but not quite, if that makes sense

From what I understand they can mimic

Looks like something I had nightmares of as a kid. Their skin was gooey or odd in a sense. Their eyes would close, goo grows where their eyes were at. When their eyes were open, they'd be red and turn and tilt to find you. Long fingers or prehensile fingers / claws. As smart and sentient as humans. Some may be friendly. Most probably are. But I doubt they usually venture over towards humans. The one I saw as a kid also had shark looking teeth.

My brother had a shared dream of that one before. So there's a chance they weren't dreams. This resembles them a bit.

I have witnessed something having a red glowing eye many years ago, I made a post on the Dogman subreddit about it. I call it the "Red Eye Phenomena", and it seems to be a shared trait among many supernatural entities such as Dogmen, the Mothman, the Flatwoods Monster, a few cases of Bigfoot having them, some Aliens reported having them, and now this.

I believe many of these cryptids are manifestations of entities that normally reside on the Astral and/or Etheric planes, able to shift in and out of detection at will through metaphysical means

edit: It's very odd you mentioned it was crouched behind of horse. One would think the presence of such an unnatural and malevolent looking creature would have the horse going insane. But maybe it couldn't detect it, or maybe it was paralyzed with fear

I absolutely agree

Thing is….glowing eyes don’t make any sense. Like, reflective eyes do. But so many stories, whether myths, scary stories, reported cryptids, Reddit sightings, so many might have glowing red eyes… but think about that for a minute, why would the organ that is designed to take in light … put out or exude light? Even if that was possible, they would be essentially blinded by their own eyes.

I've often pondered the same thing, what would be the biological reason behind developing eyes which give off eerie, red light? Most bioluminescent animals live in the ocean depths, and none of them have this particular setup.

My conclusion is that entities with these glowing eyes operate on exotic physics not yet known to popular science, and that it's not necessarily a biological phenomenon as much as it is a manifestation of metaphysical expression. Red is the longest wavelength of the visible light spectrum. If an entity from different layer of existence is trying to bleed into our reality, red would probably be the natural threshold where non-physical energy would first cross over into a wavelength visible to human eyes

As to why they project this light from their eyes specifically, there could be a number of reasons, but I think it could be a deliberate display meant to either cause a reaction, or to make their presence known. But it probably has a utility to it since many entities have been seen having this trait. They say eyes are windows to the soul, and these things probably have a grasp on the abilities of the soul that we do not and are able to do more things with it, like this.

So, in my humble opinion... Applying textbook mainstream biology in attempt to explain the supernatural is an exercise in futility. It is like trying to use a ruler to measure a soundwave

Whelp, and here I thought Blue Ridge would be a great place to visit.  Not anymore.

The first one is a play invitation position. You can answer this by remaining upright, to refuse, or putting your hands on your knees and going into a half crouch to accept.

The other one is an “I’m curious but shy” position. He doesn’t want you to walk right up, but he’s not hostile! Speak gently and if you have a treat, maybe toss it to him. If he does approach, let him make the first move. Only pet once he’s fully relaxed.

Can't tell if this is dumb AI or trolling

The OP? Dumb AI, they straight up admit to it.

If you did actually meet that one in the woods, you should call local shelters. Someone is missing their pet!

I've heard of crawlers before but I will posit this. Humans will have manic states, hallucinations, and generally Strange reactions when in contact with a specific mould called Ergot. What if visiting species interact with common moulds, bacteria, and fungus and it has a similar effect on them? Something super tall (who is tripping balls) might not be able to walk upright and might resort to going on all fours because the ground isn't as far away, and might explain their generally odd movements.

u/Unlucky-Demand-9146 14d ago

That’s a great point, I will say that what I saw was FAST, it ran faster than the car headlights

2

u/notlostnotlooking 14d ago

No surprise. I've seen plenty of odd things haul ass haha I think they do it for fun, I would if I could just zip anywhere

That’s so fair
