How did you guys take notes in an accelerated nursing program?

I’m starting an accelerated nursing program soon and I’m trying to figure out the best way to take notes. Did you guys mainly use pen and paper, or did you use an iPad/laptop?

I have an iPad Mini, so I’m wondering if that would be good enough for taking notes during class, or if the smaller screen would be annoying.

For those of you who have been through an accelerated nursing program, what worked best for you? Would you recommend handwritten notes or digital notes on an iPad?

Hey! I’m in my first semester of the program and I think it just really depends on preference. I see plenty of people do either way of note taking. I use my iPad for notes! And laptop is heavily used!!

Im older, but just went through the RN program.

There are a few studies that show writing notes with pen&paper helps people retain the information; i would print out the PowerPoints before class and take hand written notes on that. Then, when studying, I would transfer them over to my OneNote so I didn't need to carry loose paper all semester.

I usually try to type out all my notes then active recall with writing and correcting myself. Helped me get good scores in prereqs
