Lost Icelandic Dubs

For those who live in Iceland, there is several Icelandic dubs of TV shows and other pieces of media that used to air on Icelandic TV channels like Stoo 2 and RUV. Many of them mostly became lost media and can be difficult to find. I'm guessing Icelandic dubs are difficult to find in general, but here's what Icelandic dubs I know that are completely lost at the moment.

Pocoyo (Aired on Stoo 2)

Maya The Bee (1975) (Aired on RUV)

The Ren & Stimpy Show (Aired on RUV, Popp TV, and Sirkus.)

Rocko's Modern Life (Aired on Barnarasin and Stoo 2.)

PB&J Otter (Aired on RUV)

Barney & Friends (Aired on Stoo 2)

Hiedi, Girl of the Alps. (Aired on RUV)

Donkey Kong Country (TV Series) (Aired on RUV)

Rubbadubbers (Aired on Stoo 2)

Around the World with Willy Fog (Aired on Stoo 2)

Roary The Racing Car (Aired on Stoo 2 and Stoo 2 Krakker.)

Ferdy The Ant (Aired on RUV)

Pinocchio (1976) (Aired on RUV)

Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds (Aired on RUV)

That's all that I included for the list. If there's any Icelandic dubs that are lost media or completely lost, please let me know about it. I thought I'd make this post just in case if anyone remembered any nostalgia of TV channels shown in Iceland.

FYI Ð/ð is should be replaced with D/d, not O/o

Ugh, that does remind me. I do need to go buy a VHS digitiser and go see if anything in my childhood collection at my parents's cabinet is still surviving. A few dubs of cartoons there that I imagine might be endangered .

Stoo 2 Krakker is such a great name.

It does sound interesting for a TV channel name in Iceland.

I'm not sure that Ren and Stimpy were dubbed. At least not on RÚV in the 90s.

Nope. They weren’t dubbed. I recorded most of them. I would have hated it if it was.

There was at least one episode of The Simpsons dubbed, as a promotion for the Simpsons movie if I remember correctly.

I did hear about that, but I didn't list the Icelandic of The Simpsons since there's a promo of the dub that shows a few dubbing samples, so the Icelandic dub of The Simpsons isn't completely lost, it's just that the episode that was dubbed in Icelandic hasn't been completely archived yet.

Roary is on siminn premium, or was last year at least.

My friend has been looking for a copy of Kallakaffi for over a decade. Seems that show has been erased from existence.

What is Kallakaffi?

It's a pretty terrible sitcom from about 20 years ago, but he is determined to find it for some reason lol
