Would anyone genuinely recommend 1-3 invincible compendiums? It sounds dumb especially coming from a huge invincible fan but realistically I know I’m not fully committed to spending $100+ on comics unless I know I’m getting my full value. Luckily Amazon is doing a coupon for compendium 2 for $13 and some change off which would leave my full total (with free shipping) just under $124 so do I just pull the trigger and buy all three at once?

It's such a great ride and I have re-read them multiple times. All-time great comic run, but the frugal side of me has been burned by recommendations.

I get that it's probably not for every one, so I'd say if it's not some kind of heavy sale just get the first one and figure out if its for you. Then come back and get the rest.

Is $20-$40 normal prices for compendiums in USA? Here the lowest it goes is like $80 and they’re typically over $100 😭😭

MSRP for a compendium is usually around 50 or 60$ USD in my experience, and then Amazon knocks a percentage off that to get your sale. I paid 30$ for my copy of Wicked and the Divine.

The comic is better than the tv show. If you consider yourself a huge Invincible fan, I think you owe it to yourself to read the comics.

It’s a great story that I plan to add to my physical collection soon too. That price on volume three is the best I’ve seen yet so if you’re committed, I would definitely snag that. Then, if you’re OK waiting a little bit, instocktrades has each of the other two volumes for a couple dollars less than Amazon.

That is an easy YES! I bought all 12 ultimate editions and loved the story so much. The show got me hooked and i just couldn’t wait any longer to know the story of Mark Grayson and how it unfolds. Def worth it!

I read through compendium 2 in 2 days, I say pull the trigger. If you’re like me you’ll be twiddling your thumbs waiting for the next book to arrive if you buy separately

I recommend the Omnibuses. Only volume one is out right now but I thought it was really well put together.

Thats a steal for $26. Kirkman himself said on a podcast that the comic is the rough draft and the show is the refined version. I liked both.

I found a bunch of these in used book stores. If you live in a city, or have access to used books you might keep that in mind.
