First time ordering from Bookswagon, and I'm starting to get nervous!
UPDATE – October 16, 2026: BOOK RECEIVED!
Happy to report that my Batman by Grant Morrison Omnibus Vol. 1 has arrived!

Bookswagon shipped it through Blue Dart, and the book arrived in excellent condition. I'm extremely happy with the purchase, and I have absolutely no complaints about the delay.
Turns out I was worrying unnecessarily! 😄
A big thank you to everyone who responded to my original post and shared their experiences. Your comments were genuinely reassuring, especially since this was my first purchase from Bookswagon.
Consider me a happy first-time Bookswagon customer!
---------------------------
I placed an order for Batman by Grant Morrison Omnibus Vol. 1 on Bookswagon back in September. This is my first time buying a book from an online platform other than Amazon India, so I was already a little apprehensive.
What’s making me increasingly nervous is that, for the past two days, the Expected Dispatch Date keeps getting pushed back by a day, and naturally, the Expected Delivery Date keeps moving along with it.
The attached screenshot shows the current estimated dates, but both the dispatch and delivery dates have been moving forward by a day for the past two days.
I understand that Bookswagon can take longer to fulfill orders, especially for imported books, and I was prepared to wait. But seeing the dates keep shifting without any clear explanation is making me wonder whether the book is actually available or if I'm in for an indefinite wait.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Bookswagon? Did your order eventually ship, or did you end up having to cancel it?

Would love to hear your experiences, especially if you've ordered expensive omnibuses or imported graphic novels from them. Am I worrying unnecessarily, or is this something I should be concerned about?

I've bought many times from Bookswagon. I don't really pay attention to the delivery date, because I anyway have a backlog of stuff to read, so I'm ok waiting.

Sometimes, if the book is showing up as International Edition, it can take upto a month or more to arrive. Have patience. Usually they refund on their own if they cant source the book.

It will come. Unless it's a marvel omnibus and especially x-men, because marvel distribution sucks :|

Buying this at a price higher than 4.2k is paying too much. Maybe cancel and let the price go down.

Bookswagon is the best out there. Takes time but they pack the thing like tank. So you don't have to worry about your book being damaged and the delay. It's always 15-20 days for me and I'm used to it now.

Quick update: The omnibus has arrived! 😄
Bookswagon shipped it via Blue Dart, and it arrived in excellent condition. Absolutely delighted with the purchase!
All that anxiety over the changing dispatch dates turned out to be unnecessary. I have no complaints about the delay whatsoever.
Thanks to everyone who reassured me about Bookswagon. You were right!

Well dude I have also purchased from them before and yeah shitty app and i was nervous too and thought my money is gone. Although my orders have reached me but I still don't trust them. Like few days before I emailed them multiple times about something nobody answered. And previously too i asked for help and got canned response so I end up purchasing from Amazon even when it was expensive as it gives me piece of mind and not suspense whether my product will reach or not. Also suddenly they change something in app and I was having issues in even purchasing and few days back their app completely stopped working for me. So I don't trust them anymore. Although this shifting never happened although it can take a lot of time for some books as they are imported that don't make me nervous but they do. It took me quite some time on Amazon too but with Amazon everything is seemsless taking too much time well refund. So there is no worries. Unless there is exceptional deal dont bother with them.

Thank you for sharing your experience!
I've only had one bad experience ordering an expensive book from an Amazon seller. I had to put in quite a bit of effort to get my money refunded because the seller kept pushing back the dispatch and delivery dates—three or four times, if I remember correctly. The problem was that the order was neither "Fulfilled by Amazon" nor delivered by Amazon.
The seller was called Intrade or something similar. When I checked their ratings later, I discovered that 84% of their feedback was negative! I also noticed a couple of other sellers, SSNbooks and Sunrise Book Store, with similarly poor ratings, with negative feedback in the 60% range.
I might avoid ordering from Bookswagon in the future and instead wait for the books to become available on Amazon through sellers whose orders are fulfilled or delivered by Amazon. Interestingly, during the recent Amazon sale, the same omnibus was available for barely ₹400 more than what I paid on Bookswagon. Had I known, I would have happily paid the difference for the peace of mind.
I also ordered Batman: Dark Patterns from Bookswagon last week, so I now have two orders with them!
Anyway, I'm genuinely relieved to hear that these delays are normal, Bookswagon is a legitimate retailer, and I should eventually receive my book—even if it arrives a little later than expected. I can certainly live with that!
Thanks again for putting my mind at ease!
