“Ever thought about becoming a part of the Emperor’s hammer?”

Every signature becomes another body bound for a world they have never heard of, another name disappearing into the ledgers of the Astra Militarum. Most recruits never see their home again. The recruiter remains behind, already searching the crowd for the next soldier the Imperium has decided it cannot afford to lose, yet can always afford to spend.

Realised I'd done both the 17th+18th in one little diorama after starting the 17th challenge.

Assorted junk, bits from a heap of random kits, and a base I knocked together like a year ago with nothing in mind for it!

Every vice can be indulged in the Underhive, for the right fee. Some provide illicit goods, some provide illicit services, and some provide both at once.

Ottiscius Bradino is one such merchant. Able to provide footage of the most vile and reprehensible acts on ‘clean’ dataslates. He can usually be located in the alleyway behind Ol Bitey’s Sumpcroc Bar, however he seems to have some kind of access to the Uphive, for Spyrers have been known to seek him out, either to sell the footage their harness has accumulated, or to add to it. His prices are astronomical for those who can afford it, and merely ruinous for those whom it is a vile addiction.

Inqtober 2026, day 16: Recruiter

“Join the Guard! Be all you can be! Every soldier a hero, every veteran a governor!”

“Steady wages, more protein than you’ve had in your life, and a lasrifle that’ll take off an Ork at the knees, for each recruit!”

“Join up, see the Emperor’s galaxy, and do all you can to safeguard the future for your children!”

The Imperium’s war machine across its million worlds consumes bodies at a rate of billions each day of its tens of thousands of years, to keep it defended. Lies like these keep the machine fed and able to function.

I think I'll try and give him some extra furs after his glued up bits are fully set, but pretty happy with it so far.

Annoyed I couldn't participate till halfway through the month cuz of work, but I'm loving what everyone's doing!

Inqtober 2026, day 15: Dishonoured Eldar

Last survivor of Craftworld Nelndorei, the ranger Marikoth Ouridithas carries the cracked and emptied soulstones of his people on and about his armour- all those he could save, anyway. Outcast from any other haven of his race for his failure, he seeks service in human space, desperate to stave off the nihilism that is nipping his heels.

He walks the Path of the Endling, and no shrine or soulstone will guard him from She Who Thirsts, upon his end. It is all he can do now, to make that end worthy of his people’s memory.

A lot of fun making this guy, had a challenge getting the palatine enforcer arms to fit across the belly. Gonna have time make him a partner I think.

She was taken from her family young, as all Sisters of Silence are. Years were spent learning the blade, the discipline of the Silent Sisterhood, and the many rites by which the Soulless are prepared to face the witch and the daemon. However, during a mission, her cadre was overwhelmed, leaving the initiate wounded and alone among the dead. An Inquisitor found her before the enemy could.

She has never returned to the Sisterhood.

Her armor remains unfinished, her training incomplete, and her oath belongs now to the Inquisitor who saved her life. She speaks no more than she ever did.

I imagine this guy is a xeno merchanary, no real lore behind him, but I really like him.

Not 100% sold on the colour scheme tho.

Largely inspired by the classic artwork and 54mm models, but also by the previous kitbash by u/NotAfraidofAlQaeda here is my viskeon mercenary with this xenos pistol that physically zaps the heat and entropy from his targets.

Inqtober 2026, day 14: Blank Operative

Ever since the untimely and vicious murder of Ethereal Aun’Va, inquiring minds of the T’au Empire have puzzled on the technology and abilities displayed by the vile assassin.

In replicating some of their bizarre talents, the finest applied science of the Empire has been employed- clouds of nano-drones that conceal the subject from sight and detection, drugs that suppress the subject’s psychic signature and somehow render them able to affect the etheric lifeforms more effectively, and of course, a pulse pistol.

Results of this testing have so far been inconclusive.

Built for Cybernekro and Mord Hive rulesets.

Inqtober 2026, day 13: Viskeon Heat-thief

On particularly hot seasons in the underhive, the death rates in the districts near the thermal vents go up… way up. Something seems to wake up and start hunting gang members, something big and fast, something that takes grotesque trophies from its prey.

Woe betide any Spyrers that descend into the underhive during this time, because its favourite prey seems to be other hunters. It has no fear, it has no mercy, and it has no natural enemies.

Hunting season is open.

++Ephraim Amemnar, radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor. Born on Stygies VIII and specialized in Necron technology. He believes that the Necron threat is very real, but also understands that their understanding of Blackstone and it's warp dampening capabilities is unparalleled. He seeks to understand it and learn more in hopes of rebuilding the Cadian gate, or something like it.+±

My first Inquisitor done and painted. I finished him a while ago but I'm just now posting him as a completed model. A lot of different kits and bits in this one. I think he's my most complicated kitbash to date.

Inqtober 2026, day 12: Suspicious clone

“I don’t trust it, brother. It’s far too big, and they’ll definitely notice the lack of familiarity. And what happened to the Mk IX, did they just skip it?”

“No, the lack of familiarity is our opportunity- there is already distrust with the new intakes, and this creates an exploitable diversion. Besides, I guarantee you in about nine years, they’ll have ceased to make a differentiation for the armour- they’ll phase out the old transports and merge surviving squad members.”

“That sounds highly suspect, but I have no reason not to believe you. Hail Alpharius, brother.”

“Hail Alpharius, brother.”
