Internet Oddity Really weird website comprised of random chopped up bits of old dystopian novels

Title explains most of it, a few months ago I was reading H.G Wells' "The Sleeper Awakes", and felt the need to google "capillotomist", which lead me to this bizarre website:

https://git.sipsolutions.net/iw.git/plain/yvULfdEWXHewSMKQyrUvdQcephaloclasia/yvULfdEWXHewSMKQyrUvdQmonophthongization-viagraph/cooree/

Screenshot of a random page, there seems to be an almost infinite amount. Each linked page links to multiple more.

At first thought, I thought this was something involving generative AI, but the quotes are actual quotes from older dystopian novels (I've been able to recognize stuff from Brave New World, 1984, When the Sleeper Wakes and The Machine Stops). The copyright information is similarly random pieces from these books, and the URL is a random mishmash of words. I tried digging deeper into this to see if its been mentioned anywhere else online, but I haven't seen anyone else mention this.

I've been wondering for months, and I wanted to ask here because I've seen a hell of a lot of Nexpo videos and I know you guys are good with this kinda thing, so please, if anyone knows, what is this website?

Thank you guys in advance!

Another screenshot, showing the maze-like construction of links.

Interesting post and rabbithole! I wonder if this is something like an electronic version of blackout poetry or fridge magnet poetry, where they are putting pieces of books together to form a different story?

I can definitely see the resemblance to fridge magnet poetry!

This is a spider trap.

This makes so much sense, I'm inclined to agree with this. Thank you!

Reminds me of the cut up technique William Burroughs used where you cut out bits of text and combine them to basically create gibberish poems. Other than that no clue.

OHHH, that definitely makes sense, especially the fact the site was a git repository (detail i forgot to mention but made it even more confusing). Thank you!
