News & Current events Non Binary student leader of India, fighting against the brutal cops of fascist Indian government (Neha Bora)

They are holding their ground against the incumbent fascist government of India. FYI: India is ruled by a far right political party. The govt resort to all kinds of Islamophobia, Queerphobia, Moral policing, Misogyny, Corruption, and ofc Suppressing the dissent. The leftist leader Neha Bora (who is also an Enby), is one of the leader in the protest. They have suffered repeated detention by the police (which involved allegations of improper touch and brute force). They haven't given up till now. We all need your support, for winning this protest. ACAB ✊

I’m glad we’re documenting this in real time to be really honest with you. I’m reading a book about the Haitian Revolution and though there were many women and folks of all types of representations, I’m sure, who engaged in the fighting and helped to bring about the revolution in a lot of ways. They’re just not remembered because nobody bothered to write their names down. It’s so frustrating. So thank you for posting this!

Thank you for the articles ! They truly are a star, as well as the journalists women and other memberd of AISA.

"The attention on Neha comes at a time when several high-profile protests are being held on India's streets in what is being seen as one of the biggest challenges to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 12 years in power"

Modi has been in power for 12 years ?! God, I did not realize he has been a stain for this long in India's history. I looked it up and

  • He was already in gvt in 2001 !
  • He was elected 3 times as PM.

Next election should be in 2029 latest, right ? How many times can someone get reelected as PM consecutively in India's constitution???? Surely 3 consecutive time is the limit ?

How are all these pos staying alive in power for so long.

*Putin was in gvt since 99( and head of Russia since 2001)

* Modi in gvt sinve 2001 (and PM in India since 2014),

*Netanyahu has been in government since 1991 and PM in 96-99 then since 2009

☠️ I mean I get why Putin is in power and staying since Russia is not a democracy but I had to add him to this list.

Edit : and yeah it's ACAB again

The election process is rigged, it's our last chance to save the democracy. There's no limit cap on Modi, but there's a huge anti incumbency. If elections aren't rigged, he is bound to lose.

Neha is an inspiration to all of us here and we are all out on the streets with them. There is not often mention about their non-binaryness in the Indian media, mostly because hardly anyone in the main stream news acknowledges non binary as a gender identity. And trans rights in India have anyway been attacked in the past year.
