Seeking Pro Advice Winterization

Post image

Planning to winterize my irrigation system this year by myself after watching pros do it the last few years. What fitting do I need to connect my shop compressor to this? Appreciate any links.

So, the contractor who winterized the system the previous years, did they have a tow behind air compressor? If so, your not in the right spot. Looks like you removed a dust boot on a test port of the BFP. What size compressor do you own?

Heres a fuller picture. In the pic above I removed the dust cap from the right side. The left side comes from the city (where the valve is). Right side is going to my irrigation. Not sure what compressor the contractor had last year but I’m 100% sure they used one of these ports.

There is not a irrigation contractor in my geographic area that would blow out a system through a test port. You have a great deal riding here on getting this done correctly so next spring you don't have a larger sprinkler system then what you now own. I'm betting on they removed the entire BF and hooked the chicago fitting straight on the supply

Did the pros bring a tow behind compressor with them?

You can Connect to these test ports in a absolute pinch but only if you have atleast a tow behind 185 no way your compressor is gonna make it happen
