Aspiring convert seeking direction and community

Hi all. Like the title says, I'm an aspiring convert trying to build community and find friends to trade life experiences with. I'm hesitant to reach out to communities locally on my own. I'm in Northern KY so I'm not sure where to go to not be bombarded with a political agenda, and I really don't feel too comfortable with a community that just ignores it and mingles, tbh.

I did reach out to the local JVP chapter, but I haven't heard back yet, it was only the end of last week. I guess I just want some people to converse about this journey with, and maybe find the direction I need to find my own community IRL. Thank you all for your time and have a good one!
