Teacher asks the class what their parents do for a living

Little Jimmy raises his hand. "My dad's a magician!"

"Oh, how fun! What kind of tricks does he do?"

"Every Friday he goes to the casino and makes all our money disappear."

"...Oh."

"Last month he made the whole car disappear."

The teacher tries to keep it positive. "Well, can he make anything reappear?"

"Yep! Uncle Steve. Every Friday, like five minutes after Dad leaves."

The teacher asked her first grade class what their daddies did for a living. (This was a long time ago, when the workforce was almost universally male.)

Little Susie says, "My daddy is a policeman!"

Little Bobby says, "My daddy as an accountant!"

Little Johnny says, "My daddy plays piano in a whorehouse!"

The teacher is shocked. She doesn't say anything, but that evening she calls Little Johnny's home to speak to his father.

"Mr Lawrence, in school today your son said that you play piano in a whorehouse. Is that true?"

She hears Johnny'e father chuckling. "Oh, no, no, no. I'm actually a lawyer, but you can't tell that to a 6-year-old."

True story: my grandson was asked by his teacher what his father does and his answer was he drinks beer all day. In fact he's a brewmaster at a local brewery. Close but not exactly correct!
