I’m curious what the professor is presenting. What was the original research question and what were the results of the research?

I am autistic. I've completed an associates, bachelor's and master's degree and are looking to do another bachelors.
I use LLM's as it was designed to be, a tool. It's a productivity tool, it cannot form intelligent thought or provide advice the same way a human can do so. Most of the time it'll parrot your ideas or cockride/brownnose you the entire chat depending on the model.
I use LLM's within the academic setting to complete assignments I feel like were created simply so there was something to complete and is low quality and lazy (e.g. forcing a discussion post and replying to two people. You could argue that it's for a participation grade but I would rather learn instead of having to make/look at equally fake responses to your fake happy discussion post. Nobody wants to do a discussion post and it is indeed lazy teaching.) but I put effort into actual coursework that's designed to teach. LLM's can't help you learn if you have it complete everything.
That being said, I think if professors were to stop assigning pointless busywork (I paid to be here to learn, not be in a sharing circle) then I would stop using LLM's in my work. (I call AI LLM's because that's what they are. Large Language Models are not artificial intelligence)
