Knife & Tool questions Blanking on the specific name of a tool/scooper I need to order, help

I have been doom scrolling webrestaurant for an hour trying to find one of those little aluminum pots you use to transfer sauce/stock out from the pot. Hollow handle, all aluminum, holds about a quart, WTF is the actual name of this thing? Used to just get them at Depot when I needed one and they havnt had them.

DIPPER, FUCK. Thank you I was going nuts trying to remember what it's called.

I hate to break it to you but I pasted your post into Google and this was the first link that popped up. I have never seen/used a dipper in decades of cooking. An aluminum pot with round handle, sure, but not this shape. 🤷

I have searched every permutation of the words "ladle, aluminum, pot, sauce" and didn't find shit. Amazing.

I honestly can’t stand that thing.

Just get an aluminum saucepan, that way it has more than one use.

Nerve damage, I can staute and handle the narrow handled pots and pans fine but for lifting weight and bending my wrist the round handle helps.

That thing is a hundred dollars! A little pot would be like ten. What am I missing? Serious question.

The dipper has an angled handle. Also, although not pictured in the linked example, the product description mentions that it has two pour spouts. That doesn't (to me) account for such a huge price discrepancy, but the dipper/transfer ladle is somewhat different constructed (and they probably sell/make way less of them than they make of small pots).

had to do my own googling. seems like there's one company that makes this thing - volroth. Amazon has a 32oz stainless ones with longer, vertical bar handle instead of hollow, short angled one for $20 https://a.co/d/00yi4cRd

"transfer dipper" finds a lot more results than "transfer ladle".

also the 128oz mega dipper at webstrau t might work, though it's clearly designed for dry goods https://www.webstaurantstore.com/vikan-128-oz-green-polypropylene-mega-dipper-with-handle-bracket-65522/69165522.html?cnxclid=17922410847730060470717101136008005

Ah good old fashioned monopoly strikes again. Thanks for looking

Yeah the description also mentions no seams. I wonder if there's somewhere that requires that? I just keep the rivets out of the soup but it's true if i didn't it'd be hard to get them clean.

Nerve damage, I can still grip and work saute and handle my knife but that bent wrist lifting weight out of a stock pot move the fat handle is easier.

Also the job pays for it so shrug

Someone else posted it, it's a "transfer ladle" but I always knew it as a dipper and thats what was hanging me up.
