Young divers in LA?
Trying to get a solid group of younger divers together around LA / South Bay, roughly 18–25. The goal is to build an active crew that regularly gets out diving, explores new spots, and meets up for dives and other adventures. Seems like most of the local dive scene is an older crowd and there is no problem of that of course, but figured I’d see who’s out there. Drop a comment or shoot me a message if you’re interested
(I’m based in Torrance)

Most of the "local" scuba divers in that range will be busy with college and the ones going to local colleges will probably prefer to dive with buddies from their college.
If you really need people that age, there are 3-4 new dive department employees at Dive N Surf that age and I think they try to hire 16-17 year olds as cashiers.
In my experience, most older divers don't care about your age, just competence. I know two guys in their 20s with scuba instructor girlfriends who are like 15 years older.

How do younger folk afford this insanely expensive hobby? I'm mid 30s and struggle.
