Absolutely Unwatchable!

So, a little while back my w8fe and I were perusing a local thrift store for some new additions to our VHS collection. I'd previously picked up almost anything good condition and quality the woman had for sale, as she was charging a mere $0.25 each or x10 tapes for $8.

On this visit I was fairly sure I'd found all the gold there was to have found, until I started pulling out the random generic sleeved tapes. To my surprise I pulled out this! "Oh my god!" I yelled to my wife, not knowing what this was. It wasnt one of the feature films and I had never heard of the show. So I grabbed it and brought it home.

When I tell you how unwatchable this was, believe me. My wife and I made popcorn, I smoked that hogs legs, ready to have a blast. And the night fell flat on its ass. After hearing Henry and Eddie mention it quickly on movie stories I knew I had to dig it out and snap a picture for you all to see.

This nightmare truly exists, and its sitting on our video shelf, now a piece of history.

$0.25 each x 10 = $2.50. But she was charging $8 for 10 tapes?

Just buy 7, put them in your car, then come back and get 7 more

OP may have been a little bit gummied when writing that, but my brain farted and put a dollar sign on the 8. I was thinking how it was x8 quarters for 10 tapes.

OP felt it correct to write, “x10 tapes,” instead of just, “10 tapes,” so they’re the target consumer.

Freddy's nightmares was not good except for the first episode. It was about the trial and murder of Freddy. Directed by Tobe Hooper. If you love the movies it's worth watching. It's a Crypt Keeper rip off like Friday the 13th series which I think lasted longer. It may suck but you found a very fun VHS anyway. I have never found a tape of that show in the wild. Good find.

I saw a episode when I was like 12 where a woman who is a scam artist fortune teller somehow gets possessed by the spirit of Freddy and he while looking in the mirror grabs her breasts saying some shit like “I’ve got a lot of stuff to see”. For some weird reason that shit crossed some streams in my head and now when I hear his voice I always think of that woman’s cleavage.

My buddy and I recently watched the first two episodes on Tubi or whatever.  I actually watched the premiere in TV when I was like 6 years old.  I dunno, Its bad but it was a lot of fun.   First episode is a full backstory of Freddy getting killed irl and its directed by Tobe fucking Hooper
