Let Leavitt go, fire Baker and rebuild for next season. This season is a wash.

Well, we can’t afford to bench Leavitt I think LSU and Blake Baker will mutually part ways at the end of the season

Oh so we can afford to keep losing with him? He's as good as dead in my book. I hope he goes undrafted.

He is definitely going to be a day three pick if he even makes the NFL draft. The problem is we threw all that money at him and I’m not so sure Kiffin is going to make a quarterback change

One play in particular in the game against Ole Miss is kind of a perfect example of Leavitts challenges. 2nd Quarter, 3rd &15, with Ole Miss already up 10-0. Leavitt gets rushed by 4 rebels, the pocket narrows around him. Instead of calmly stepping up and setting his feet and hitting a wide open Harris in the middle at the Ole Miss 45 yard line. He gets nervous and doesnt really climb the pocket, he sort of does this javelin throw which sails the ball well out of the reach of Harris.
Sam is too antsy, he doesn't have the patience to run through his progressions, he also had Jayce Brown underneath who in man coverage. Did the pocket breakdown a bit? Yeah, but good QBs (especially Sunday QBs) can navigate through this pressure and buy a half second more for a good opportunity.
Sam has glimpses of making good decisions and good throws, and a lot of the time his OLine gives him zero time to work with. But he still needs to be a better quarterback.
