Sunday Morning Foliage Tour

New Hope Railroad's first Fall Foliage train of the day heading out from the station this morning. Was hoping for a steam locomotive, but they were pulling the train with Diesel Locomotive #8218. Shot with a Sony A99II and Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 lens, camera mounted on a RRS tripod & head using a 3 Legged Thing universal mounting plate.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on which photo is better. One has better lighting and a bit more of the cliff side, while the second has a nice view of the trees on the shore again the rising sea rock.

A point when clouds at the altitude of 5000ft+, a road atop the mountain, and evening converge at the same spot... eerily beautiful

Carbon County near Elk Mountain.

A winding road and river thread through a narrow green valley, with villages scattered on the slopes and warm haze glowing over the ridges beyond.
