Please don’t talk during the entire movie…

Watched resident evil at NCG Eastwood today and during the entire movie, four college aged girls would just not stop talking. People shushed them and just got ignored. THEN one girl gets on her phone and scrolls the entire time, all of this is within my vision so I can see shes texting and scrolling without even trying to hide it. When the movie finished, we received dirty looks the entire time they were leaving… taking problems to Reddit won’t solve them but please think about others when you go to public places. Go watch resident evil it’s pretty good especially when I wasn’t distracted.

This has to rank up there with south MLK’s ‘eat pubes’.

Politics aside, I was floored seeing a How Bad Can I Be reference in this context lmao. Whoever designed this must have been on Tumblr in the 2010s

Recommendations WARNING!! About using Capital City Pickers!!

Previous owners of my house used Capital City Pickers. We were doing lots of landscaping while this was happening so unfortunately we encountered them.
They have a SUPER creepy guy hired who will not leave my property alone almost 4 months later. He keeps coming back and today we caught him in our woods. No idea his intentions, all I know is that he is SCARY and extremely unprofessional.

THINK TWICE before allowing them access to your property!! I wish the previous owners of my property did.

White trucks off I-69

I travel I-69 going to MSU football games. Just south of Charlotte there is a farm field with tons of new white truck cabs on frames. What is this? Are they manufactured nearby? Are they waiting for conversion somewhere close? I have been mystified by these. They are south of where the new autos are loaded on the train cars. For better reference these are just north of the Cochran Rd exit on the west side if the highway.

Personal Food assistance help

Does anyone know if there are any churches that hold breakfast in the morning or food drives? Any box food pantries with shelf stable foods? I’m currently homeless and trying to feed myself. I’ve already applied for snap and I’m waiting for approval

Turn on the heat yet?

Anyone else having the "do I turn on the heat yet" debate with themselves? It's 65 degrees in my house and part of me is like, "Nah, it's not cold enough yet."

Recommendations Halloween Festivities

Hi fellow Lansing members. I'm on a tight budget, but really want to enjoy the holidays this year. I was suffering from depression and major life changes the last few years and really want to get into the spirit of the holidays & have fun with them this year. Could I please get some recommendations from my fellow Lansing community. I'm an adult woman in my early 40s and I do not have any children so it does not have to be family focused or anything. Please and thank you.

Potter Park Zoo survey

Potter Park Zoo Survey

Hiya! I’m a student at LCC doing a market research project on Potter Park Zoo attendance.

I’m here to ask if you’d help me by filling out an anonymous survey. It’s 21 questions, and most are multiple choice. No personal information will be collected, not even an email!

I’m looking for people in the Lansing area that are Potter Park Zoo members, former members, and people who have never been members.

Here’s the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSei_IXW6aEhkYYG4c8gVCjjYhEyg9Vv2CyPlxbgcyr4aFzfgw/viewform?usp=publish-editor

Thank you! 😊

This is a fictional scenario and this project is not affiliated with Potter Park Zoo.

There are two Eaton county cops and a medical examiner truck just west of the water treatment plant on west Willow. Firetruck and ambulance were also there earlier. Nothing is taped off but one of the cop cars and the medical examiner truck are backed right up to the woods. Anyone have any info?

🚨 URGENT: Need Advice/Low-Cost Help Rescuing a Cat Trapped Inside a Wall — Lansing Area

I'm looking for advice and affordable rescue resources for a cat who has been trapped inside the inaccessible space within my home's staircase/wall structure for about 24 hours now.

I've heard her meowing and moving around, but she hasn't come out despite setting up a humane live trap with food. I'm very worried about her safety and need help figuring out how to get her out without causing injury or damaging the structure unnecessarily.

I've contacted Animal Control and local rescues, but I'm struggling to find hands-on assistance I can afford.

At this time, I'm looking for recommendations, rescue organizations, and/or any experienced professionals who may offer low-cost assistance.

If you've dealt with a similar situation or know someone who can help, please comment or send me a message. Thank you. 💜🐈‍⬛

No classified ads is a great policy.

People asking for help finding emergency services/pet rescues or fosters/information about specific Lansing organizations are not classified ads. Do better mods. If anyone needs help finding pet foster agencies in Lansing, Because of Eva is on Facebook, Saved By Zade is great as well. The last Sunday of every month there are open adoption events at Pruess Pets and you can also come to learn about various foster organizations if you want to volunteer or donate to help. The fledge also offers a ton of community events and organizing and general helpful community services. Hopefully this post is not removed mistakenly as drama.

Here is a reminder of the great rules we have here:

Personal Sustain management frustration

I rent a home and the landlords were originally ds huber. We now have sustain management and ive never had as much trouble getting help from maintenance as I have with this company. In August it took 3 tries to get a plumber out here because the maintenance director screwed up the appointments. Now once again I need plumbers because this is what my basement looks like. Ive been trying to get something set up for days. Anyone else have experience with this company? Any advice on what I should do if this isnt resolved by next week?
