I would do the justinguitar cources. (Free since it all yt based, but some feature are payed if you want them). Typically you get the cowboys cords and you can play a lots.
As far as guitar for 70$ there isn't much new. The thing with super cheap guitar is they may make learning harder just due to how badly build they can be (without you even knowing until you play a decent one). BUT the used market, especially acoustic, is a gold mine for decent entry level at a huge discount. Just look up the reviews before you buy. And do go to a store, talk to them, they will let you touch one. That way you got an idea how it feel in your hands, size, neck, good fret job...

I'd suggest going to pawn shop. I found a squire that normally would be 500 and was like 65 and played like charm. Same with acoustics to. Plus if you go you might be able to pick guitar ul and feel it and see if it's right for you if frets work etc.

You should not buy a guitar for under $70 unless you have like a super generous friend selling something way under value

$70 is a bit tough to meet price wise, but $100 is more doable for a starter. Be aware you’ll also need a little bit set aside for a professional setup on the instrument.
The good news is that you can totally learn by yourself. There’s tutorial videos out there For tons of songs. Justin Guitar is very good for hands on instruction, and Absolutely Understand Guitar is good for theory.

You're going to need to start making trips to pawn shops in the... less savory parts of town. Once you find a decent guitar in your price range, which will probably take a while, you can start watching videos on YouTube or get a good beginner guitar guide. Lots in epub format for practically nothing. A bigol chord and scale poster wouldn't hurt.

Save up for a guitar that you will love to play. You won’t find a new acoustic guitar for $70 that anyone will recommend but maybe a used one? But, probably not, everyone knows what their guitar is worth now. I have a nice Acoustic Ibanez I purchased for under $300.

Save up and get a Yamaha FS800. They are about $260-280 new.
I would not recommend any guitar that is $70. Not only will a $70 guitar be miserable to play (so you might quit). You will almost assuredly want to upgrade shortly and then wind up spending on an FS800 or a more expensive guitar. Either way you have spent $70 you didn’t need to.

I did find a used 1996 Seagull S6 in mint condition online, but things like that are rare. Don't buy junk! Save a little more and get something decent like a Yamaha, hopefully from a shop that's already done a setup.

I was able to find a used Yamaha C40 for $40. It served me well as a starter guitar.
As for learning, start looking at beginner guitar lessons on YouTube. Lots of good teachers there and FREE!

in that range you want a ukulele and you will have to look very carefully to make sure it is playable... my advice is pur in a couple weeks of wo4k and save about 250ish for an entry level yamaha.

I was pretty crap at guitar till I got lessons. you'll pick up bad habits by self learning and you won't learn as fast

Under $70, you may as well pull out your own hair and attach it to a boomerang.
Unless you can find a good deal on the resale market.
If you want a good starter guitar, try a Yamaha or if you want something a little better, an Alvarez or something similar.
Either find something good online like Justin Guitar or just try and learn yourself via Ultimate Guitar app.
