Lighthearted Content The From Zero Era: Thank You

TL;DR: thank you for the new era (sorry for the long post)

I've listened to Linkin Park on and off as a child, and growing up from then, but it wasn't until right after Chester's passing where I started to really appreciate the music, and really dug into their discography, in early August I remember playing cards with my mom, and a family friend, she always puts music videos on while we play, and Somewhere I Belong played, I ask what song it was. At this point I only listened to In The End, Crawling, OSC, & Numb (i also heard Breaking The Habit a bit earlier but wouldn't rediscover it until a tad bit later), after we were done i remember listening to it, and just felt so attached, the next morning I decided to do a small tribute to Chester and listened to a few more. What I've Done, New Divide, rediscovering Breaking The Habit, and Burn It Out. I went and watched the music videos as listening to the music and I was immediately hooked to this band unlike I've ever been, and would spend my entire freshman year discovering their studio albums, and even learning about Hybrid Theory, & Xero

But having that journey so late meant I never got to experience the feeling of new music dropping, I never participated in a new release aside from the 20th anniversaries, but those mainly were just scouring on the band's website, with merch releases & new unreleased music (don't get me wrong, i still absolutely loved them, HT20's boxset was my very first musical purchase, and the start of physical collecting for me)

I remember the hype going around when the band was cooking up something for an event (the comeback show) I was unfortunately working so I couldn't actually watch it aside from like 10 minutes of it on a break, and with that I heard The Emptiness Machine, and felt so much joy hearing the band was back, new music releasing, a new era starting. I ended up pre-ordering the CD boxset & Vinyl that very break i took, it didn't take long at all for Emily & Colin to grow on me. Later on I even found a copy of the TEM single

But I got to do things I never thought I would be able to do. Buying a new Linkin Park album, I went to one of the indie retail listening events for the album that was going on around me with a few friends (even won a t-shirt but not sure why I couldn't find it for this picture shoot), with that same group we went to sonic temple, my first festival and got to watch Linkin Park live for the first time, and later on we went to go see Unshatter

I'm so grateful this band is back and out doing all of this after so long, and I cannot wait for the next album to release, and what's in store for it

Saw this post on r/millenials, as of this post Hybrid Theory is the only comment with more than 100 upvotes and its actually over 200. Thought it was pretty cool LP has the definitive no skip album of a generation

There are a few posts here that ask for the actual Vocal Range of Chester Bennington, and mostly say something between G2-D5 and some falsetto notes, don't understand much about it. Only things i can do is identify a few notes from hearing and remember the order of the Piano Notes, simple things.

But, does anyone know Chester's live vocal range? I'm pretty sure he does much higher notes from what i've seen, maybe Falsetto but still valuable to know!

Here goes an example of Given Up - Amnévile 2008 Bridge Scream! He would oftenly do that higher scream rupture during live performances of Given Up

I've been recommended this song a few times, and I just want to know your thoughts on whether this is similar to LINKIN PARK or I'm just insane.

Discussion Emily's voice really shines when she's not made to scream lik CB.

Emily's voice really shines when she's not made to scream like chester, during mellower parts and when she uses a softer voice. It still works really well with LP songs. I think the best LP songs and what most people like are the ones without the very very hard screams, still nu metal but has melodic parts..
