Flying out of Lisbon

• Upvotes

Traveling with my toddler and pregnant wife. We’ve been seeing videos of long lines at the airport.

We’re flying to London and then to the US. Has anyone flown out in the past day or so that can give their account of how it was? Our flight it at 7am on Sunday.

For Lisbon airport, are there any services for priority passport control for US citizens?

I’ve heard passport control can take 2+ hours. I’ve used a service at Paris’ CDG airport, and they bring you through an expedited way so you don’t have to wait in the regular line? I know there’s Fast Track I can purchase to go through security, but is there anything for passport control? I see some companies like SKYVIP services, Fastrack VIP, etc. Are any of these legit and will actually take you through passport control? For both arrival and departure? TIA

Half day to Sintra without tour group?

Looking for some advice. I am visiting Lisbon for a few days at the start of November and would like to do a quick trip to Sintra. I know it's a big area and a lot to see so have decided on Quinta da Reglaeira and Pena. I am more interested in the exterior structure and architecture rather than exploring internal rooms so was planning a 'park only' ticket for Pena. I am wondering if you are still able to get up close to the palace itself on this ticket? And also does this option reduce the queuing/waiting in line which I have read can be quite long?

My plan would be an early train to Sintra and get to Pena park gates for opening at 9 (I think?) by the local bus. I am pretty fit and active so the walk from the entrance to the palace does not bother me as such. After this I would head to Quinta da Reglaeira (I am not sure the best way to do this?) and again I only really want to explore the external palace and the well. I would then head back to Sintra town for a wander and quick bite to eat before heading back to Lisbon.

Is this a plan that would work? If yes, would I need to purchase Pena Park tickets and Quinta da Reglaeira tickets in advance?

I know this all seems very rushed, but it's w quick solo trip on my own and somewhere I plan to return to at some point for a longer visit!
