Freshman Housing

Hello. I was just recently admitted to Tech and I wanted some opinions on housing. Which buildings are the best? Im really considering University Park because of the private room and bathrooms but I am open to suggestions. I already have a roommate. I don’t need a single room but I won’t do a community bathroom.

if you’re anti community bathroom, university park or a suite style place is 100% the move
you’ll sacrifice a bit of the “classic dorm chaos” vibe but having your own bathroom when everyone on your floor is sick or hungover is worth it, especially freshman year

Graham is the engineering dorm and was fun when I was in school. However, it was built lonnnngggg ago. Cinderblock walls, you had to have your own router for wifi, no private bathrooms, etc. Don't know how much has changed since then tho

It hasn't changed at all, other than, as of this year, the basement and a few rooms are off-limits due to structural damage

\University Park and Park Place are very similar in design, location wise I think Park place is better. Closer to campus, yet still far enough away to give a independent feel. I also think its a little more well kept than University Park.

Legacy Park is a good option too. Im a current freshman at Tech and I live in the two bedroom option which has 2 people to a room. But you can also get the 4 bedroom which is private iirc
