LDN and thyroid levels

Can stopping LDN for a month affect your TSH levels to the point of hyperthyroidism? I only take LDN for a year and at a low dose between 0.2 and 0.4mg. I need to start again but I had issue with my compounded pharmacy so I had one month without it.

My testing came back with a TSH level of 0.06 and my normal range (also before LDN) is usually between 0.5-1.5.
I've been very symptomatic with high heart rate, tremors, insomnia, syncopes and all symptoms I get from my Long Covid, MECFS, HEDS, MCAS and endometriosis worsened.

When I was at my highest LDN level my TSH has been the highest with 2.5 for a while before coming back to my usual range so I wonder if stopping can make it crash too. Any similar experiences?

I stopped taking LDN about two months ago because I was having surgery. I have been taking it for 2 years for fibromyalgia symptoms. I haven’t started taking it again as I wanted to see how I did without it.

I have a history of Graves Disease, and have been taking Armour Thyroid for 23 years. I have been on the same dosage the whole time without issues. I last tested in April, and TSH was 1.2. I have been feeling pretty bad the last couple of weeks, and I realized yesterday that my symptoms are indicating my thyroid is overactive. I will go get tested this week.

I’m very interested in what others have to say. I haven’t considered that stopping LDN might affect thyroid function.

When I started LDN, Graves' hyperthyroidism was under control. Within a couple weeks on LDN, I was hyperthyroid again. It took about 6 weeks after stopping to level back out. It definitely can affect thyroid levels.

I know some people take it for Hashimoto so it shouldn't surprise me but i'm still baffled by how sensitive we are and how it affects the body. I really need LDN so I hope it gets back within range when i'm back on it.

Fingers crossed for you. I ended up having my thyroid removed a month ago because I wanted to go back on LDN and...just not do this roller coaster for the rest of my life. I still haven't gone back on LDN yet because I'm trying to find my correct hormone replacement dose before messing with anything that will mess with levels again.
