Discussion Concerns about the offseason transfer class

So Michigan State’s current roster is somewhere between 18-22 million atleast according to the Athletic so if we want to be good next year I’m expecting like a 35-40 player haul in the portal along with it being a T15-20 class. Assuming we go 2-10 or 3-9 we’d have to pay a “suck tax” for any quality players along with bringing a high class which would be another 15-20 million dollars to atleast field a 7 win team, totaling to about a 40-45 million dollar roster (ex: Currently projected teams in this range: Michigan, Indiana, USC). Do you guys have faith that we’ll go from bottom in the conference to T5 in NIL spending?

They’re going to get a 50th ranked portal haul to go with their 60th ranked recruiting class.

" b b b b b b bu bu butt Pat needs more time! We can't expect him to make a bowl game until 2030!"

If you attended MSU, you would know that "at least" is two words

We'll finish this season 2-10 and go 4-8 at best next season, but what really matters is the fact that Pat gives refs the middle finger and Rossi yells on the sideline

I don't know I don't care man. I'm not an accountant, I'm not a donor, I'm a fan. Us poors complaining on Reddit isn't going to help our NIL, I'm here for the sports talk

40 million to field a bowl eligible team or slightly is just fucking sad.

Why would anyone donate money to any football team for a 1 season roster? College sports is dumb

Nope. The AD will suck from here until the super league forms and MSU gets demoted to the MAC.

I think the football team will be sold to private equity in a year or two. The spin will be it’s the only way to become competitive (and not get demoted)

The “This is Sparta” podcast a week or two ago detailed how it was bullshit. Hosted by Spartans in the know, who have their own D1 student-athlete kids
