Yeah I’m taking advantage of this opportunity. Idgaf how it shakes out but access to more knowledge/info is a good thing. I’m a hardcore introvert with auto-didactic tendencies and this is like Super Bowl levels of excitement for me from the announcement. Hope they are able to roll out an amazing program and it actually does help people better their lives financially.

It's not a new announcement. Harvard has made these courses free and available online, with certificates since at least 2020

That’s awesome. Wish I’d known sooner. Have you had any experience with the courses? Thanks for heads up

I've taken the cs50 course a few times. It's excellent for learning programming but not enough on its own. I always tell others this is the course you want for learning the logic, algorithmic thinking, and decision-making skills needed for coding, but use other resources for learning syntax, styling, and data structures.

It will really tax your brain and force you to think. The one big suggestion id give is, don't be afraid to look up the answer when you get stuck, and move forward to the next lesson. That's what real coders do anyway - or you'll just give up. Eventually, you'll build up a mental library of solutions that will help you come up with other solutions on your own.
