My husky mix has a mini-Aussie as a bestie. So, when they were zooming around and the Aussie was getting close, my Luna would intentionally hit the ground, roll, and pivot in the opposite direction. It was so fun to watch! Luna is a senior dog now, so those raucous days are behind us, but are fun memories!
My staffy/bully with a barrel torse and stubby legs knows she can't keep up in a chase, so she stalks the periphery and tackles the speedy dogs as they race past. It is her favorite thing, but we've definitely had to leave the park in shame when her antics were not appreciated by some speedy dog/owner.
Yep, greyhounds do tire much more quickly than a BC. BC will run all day, along with a husky. Greyhounds are sprinters and tire quickly, comparitively.
Former Greyhound dad,. Mine crossed on 9/1 last year. That border Collie never had a chance. Greyhounds have three gears. That lovely creature was in 1st to keep it fair for the other dogs. If you see them run with other greyhounds you'll know what I mean.
There's a video of one running beside a motorcycle in a field some where. You can literally see the moment she goes from, "this is fun!" To, "it's on buddy, let's go!"
I was trying to sleep, got woke up, got on my phone all grumpy to read Reddit and rest, and found a funny post and a fresh Schnoodle, so the day is much better already.

Greyhounds are awesome. My mom was oart of a greyhound rehoming group and one day we had a reporter and cameraman come to the house to do a story. The cameraman was having a heard time tracking/panning the dog at speed. Ransom, the dog buzzed the cameraman at full tilt like a bug white missile and knocked the poor guy ass over tea kettle.
