Question My first deck, need help for a good commander decklist, i really like the Ashling, the Limitless deck
Hey guys, i'm new to this (expencive) hobby, can someone help me build some commander deck for casual but interesting play with my friends.
After looking around, I’d like to try a deck featuring Ashling, the Limitless; I really like the theme and the playstyle, but I’m not sure whether to buy a base deck and upgrade it, or to purchase (or proxy) the individual cards.
Thanks in advance

Just a word of warning, Ashling is a 5 color deck, meaning you will have to upgrade that mana base a bunch and it may have consistency issues. You may not see this issue too much where you'd envoke for generic mana but still something to keep in mind. I'd get the precon and upgrade after playing with it. See what cards work and what your preferred play style is.

What should I change from the base deck? Are there any complete lists up to date?

I’d make a deck on archidekt.com and see how many cards I’m using from the precon if you’re only using 10 cards probably better to buy the singles. With you saying you’re new having lands usually makes a precon worth it even when the land base is bad. If I were a new player playing ashling I’d go on archidekt use advanced search to filter all cards that are elementals and make a tribal deck one of my first decks was [[grenzo dungeon warden]] I’ll post a copy here even tho I’ve made changes since but I essentially did what I’m suggesting there’s like 50-60 goblins in there I still have this deck and love it. It also can help keep you engaged in the game I look forward to new goblins being released to possibly upgrade him

The precon is a pretty solid start, though you might want to tweak the manabase a bit, as wotc has always been a bit awkward with wubrg precons on that front.
