Yards and yards of loose flowing body. Oh my god. I died.

This is like those right wing self-owns that’s like “THIS IS THE WORLD LIBERALS WANT” and it’s like, free healthcare, guaranteed income, arts funding, equitable access to resources
Yall, you just described a body-positive orgy lmao

I thought they were selling the dress. I would absolutely buy the fat dress.

My immediate thought was "Where can I buy five??" I want them in different colors.

Tried pills? No luck? Take this candy that activates the blood sugar apparatus instead!

All I can think is, that name did not hold up well

“Ayds helped me fit into my high school outfits again!”
😳

I'm so glad I have aids to help me. Everyone should have aids - some fairytale princess, probably

“The blood sugar apparatus in your body” 🤣
Also, um, dress lady is effing gorgeous?? Hello????

I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one coveting the dress. And the woman in the ad looks so lovely.
I tried Ayds as a child or shall I say my thin obsessed mother thought they were a good idea for her unsightly 10 year old stout daughter to try.

What did they taste like?
3
u/RealLuxTempo 2d ago
They tasted like crappy candy because thats basically what they were but with an oral anesthesia that numbed your mouth and an appetite suppressant that eventually got banned. Perfect for a 10 year old.

my mother had those. she was not overweight at all

My mom too. I guess her weight fluctuated but she was never that heavy.

my family called me chubby back then in the 70s. when i look at pictures i see a child with normal weight. i think the goal was to have the heroin chic look

She looks stunning! I thought it was going to be an ad for the dress with an unfortunate name, didn’t think it was going to be for an unfortunately named diet pill.

I can't figure out how to reply with a photo on mobile but this reminds me of the "Big Mama" branded vintage pantyhose I found in a thrift store. Truly wild.

The text in this feels uncannily like the way ChatGPT writes, it's pretty offputting

u/MaraiaLou 7d ago
Chatgpt was mostly trained out of marketing copy. That's one of many reasons why it's so vapid and formulaic

Reminds me of Paris Paloma’s dress at ACL last weekend in a very beautiful way.
“Yards and yards” is diabolical.

i would buy the fat dress. "yards and yards of loose, flowing body" is crazy fucking work though

My first thought was, that woman is beautiful! Then I saw what the ad says. Oops. Guess I find the fat lady attractive, which is apparently the wrong answer! The dress is pretty too. No weird ass candy for me.

210 pound Cheryl looks like she had some decent leg muscles on her body.
