Hey I don't know if you'll ever come across this post but a part of me still hopes you will.

We met here when you made a post looking for a female friend and I happened to comment on it. We started talking and although I was hesitant at first you somehow made it easier for me to open up express my feelings and be a little less afraid of being vulnerable.

It might not have been a long time but the way you treated me meant more to me than I knew how to express back then. You listened to me considered my feelings and made me feel cared for in a way I hadn't really experienced before.

And maybe that's why I got scared.

Somewhere along the way I started feeling like I wouldn't be good enough for you as a partner. Instead of talking to you about those fears I chose to write a closure message and walk away leaving things to destiny. Maybe I thought I was doing the right thing at the time but I don't think I truly understood what leaving would feel like.

It's been days maybe even a month and yet I still find myself thinking about you. I don't know if you ever think about me if you've moved on or if my sudden goodbye even affected you. I have no way of knowing and I don't want to make assumptions.

I just wish I had been brave enough to communicate instead of letting my insecurities decide things for me.

I'm not writing this to make you feel guilty or to ask you to feel the same way I do. I just wanted to put these words out there hoping that somehow somewhere they might reach you.

If you happen to recognise our story and if you're comfortable with it I'd really like to talk to you again. Not to pretend nothing happened but to have the conversation I was perhaps too scared to have before.

And if you don't see this or if you've already moved on I hope life treats you kindly. Thank you for making me feel that my feelings mattered. You may not even realise how much that meant to me but I do.

Maybe this is my little attempt at finding my way back to someone I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to.
