Review This stuff is amazing!!....

Post image

I never want to be without this chanel water tint it is so fabulous. Its blown every other base product out the water, and ive used everything from full coverage to light foundations. I was fully expecting it to have dissapeared from my face after its been on for 6 hours, but it looks just as good as when first applied it this morning, its holding up way better than any of my other foundations that normally would look heavy/cakey/mask like by the end of my work day. This has ZERO cakiness or seperation. I couldnt rate it anymore highly. Im as pale as it gets (always lightest foundation shade) and it looks quite dark in the bottle but its much lighter blended out. Im that impressed have bought a backup, and 2 other chanel blushes. My only gripe is the added fragrance, i have acne prone skin but so far so good. I have some fragranced skincare with no proplem so hopefully will be fine. Would love to hear how others get on if anyone has tried it?

Yes it is absolutely no coverage at all, so def depends on what you like, for me who thinks regular tints are too much too cakey too matte, this is just perfect it’s like wearing no makeup at all but it brings you face to life i almost compare it to having an instagram filter lol, def not for people who want any coverage

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

Thats such a good way of putting it, it really is like putting nothing on your face but having a filter effect afterwards. I keep calling it a "chanel glow" on my face.

u/Bulky_Cantaloupe1770 Mar 27 '26

If you’re someone who has a lot of redness and random pigmentation in the face, you’ll definitely see the difference. It’s not full coverage so some of that redness will definitely still peak through but it gives you “my skin but better”. Closest I would describe it is how I have good skin days and bad skin days, and the water fresh tint gives me a “good skin day” look. If that makes sense lol.

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

Initially i thought the exact same! I thought it isnt doing anything, but i have a blurred effect and glow that wasnt there before applying it. I would definetly try again, i used 2/3 pumps.

Yes. Thats the little chanel brush it came with, its great

19

u/Holiday_Cat_7284 Mar 27 '26

I've got dark circles and rosacea and I use this. There's way more coverage than you think. It sort of blurs and reflects light. I use a tiny bit of concealer under my eyes but I don't need it anywhere else.

3

u/milesfrost Mar 27 '26

you've sold me, it sounds perfect!

1

u/Delicious-Wrongdoer2 Mar 30 '26

Same trouble points. On first wear, was not immediately impressed in the mirror but as the day went on I was blown away! Definitely a like a natural filter with zero heaviness.

3

u/Aggressive-Pay5952 Mar 28 '26

There is another product from Chanel that looks the same like this one (pigment beads), but has more coverage. Maybe try that one and see if you like it. This thing is amazing and it is good that it has another option for coverage girlies

2

u/strawberry-andromeda Mar 29 '26

It’s not a lot of coverage but the coverage it gives is very shiny. Not a look I personally love. It made me feel greasy

u/moonprismpwr Mar 27 '26

Why have there been so many posts about this recently? Was it given out as promo or in a beauty box?

41

u/Munchkin_mom Mar 27 '26

I think maybe people look for something lighter for summer? And this was also recommended a lot last year. I have water fresh complexion touch and I feel like it’s little to warm for me.

72

u/vegancupcakesforall Mar 27 '26

Right? Or is there some marketing going on...

19

u/Complete-Comedian-43 Mar 27 '26

Omg I thought the same thing. This foundation (I have now tried it twice) looks like ass on me and I’m like why are all these posts coming out about how they “can’t live without it” ????

11

u/Vaninnocent37 Mar 27 '26

I get the feeling people are posting these items because they received them for free - this stuff is so bad, lol.

2

u/Tricky-Pin555 Mar 28 '26

Same. Its not a good formula.

14

u/Prestigious_Bison707 Mar 27 '26

What? Is reddit becoming the new instagram? Nooooo

25

u/clazcat Mar 27 '26

There’s an Australian makeup artist on TikTok (Elizabeth Cee) who has gone viral for using this. If you scroll back you can see she’s been using it for YEARS. She loves it and is an excellent sales woman

5

u/Designer-Side9470 Apr 13 '26

She literally just sold me 🤣🤣 looked up her videos for about 10 minutes and then ordered a couple of her faves. You definitely deserve a cut of her profits. Never heard about her before you 🤣

17

u/AnyTart319 Mar 27 '26

I have to believe it’s some type of Chanel marketing bc there are no pros to this product. Overpriced, drying, cakey, highlights pores, and no shade range.

11

u/Complete-Comedian-43 Mar 27 '26

It literally made my face look like an oil slick. It also lasts maybe 3-4 months before smelling gross

2

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 28 '26

I think it depends in your skin. Most foundations people love look horrid on me even the salesperson is kinda shocked . They usually make me look older and dry af . So foundations like this are great . But usually we aren’t looking for a medium to full coverage foundation we just want something to even out the skin color , and provide a healthy glow from within. Not an oil slick but a healthy glow.

I think of it like skincare . Sk2 and Vit c makes my skin look phenomenal I never get so many compliments . However my bf does the same routine and their skin looks worse . So I think it depends on your skin and what it may need . I think the same goes for foundations .

6

u/PortraitofMmeX Mar 27 '26

It's the only product that matches my skin and that I can stand the texture of, and it makes me look like I have an IG filter on my face. Also it doesn't transfer on anything. You don't have to like it but there are a lot of pros to it. And I paid full price for it. I didn't see any marketing, I was shopping for another Chanel product (I love their nail polishes and lipsticks) and happened to try it.

1

u/Complete-Comedian-43 Mar 28 '26

Oh I have heard people love it which is why I’ve tried it twice!! My friend swears by it! It just did not work for me at all and I’m sticking w my vitalumiere aqua haha.

3

u/reader-girl Mar 28 '26

The discontinued Vitalumiere Aqua!! Devastating.

3

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 28 '26

There really aren’t many other brands on the market that offer the same affect anymore . La Mer had one, and Armani used to have one but the discontinued that version . Rose inc used to make something similar but can’t find it anymore . So Chanel is an option that gives that my skin just better look and is easy to find in department stores . A lot of other brands I find are much heavier than this . Definitely not for everyone. But yeah if you find skin tints and tinted moisturizers are not cutting it this is probably what you’re looking for .

2

u/Big_Sprinkles_4496 Mar 29 '26

Rose Inc was discontinued. It was my absolute fav. Devastated to say the least

1

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 30 '26

Sad 😔 … you may want to try this by Chanel they also have this same thing with a lt to med coverage if you want a bit more coverage . Although I like the skin but better look .

1

u/theorigamiwaffle Mar 28 '26

Is Armani that much thicker? I know they reformulated

1

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 28 '26

They had an even lighter “maestro glow fusion” which basically gave that “like your skin but better “ look. Giving a blurred glow from within look without settling in your lines or pores . Yet moisturizing and not drying . What they have now is not the same and is thicker, more matte, and dryer than before .

1

u/theorigamiwaffle Mar 28 '26

Ugh what do I dooooo then?

1

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 28 '26

? What do you mean ? What’s your issue ? Are you older ?

1

u/Final-Intention5407 Mar 28 '26

The maestro glow fusion was discontinued arnd 2017/2018 . They the reformulated and came out with what the have now . So if you like what they have now ; as far as I know, that hasn’t been reformulated again. I just preferred the older iteration .

4

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

I seen it being talked about on tiktok

51

u/Eskyzoo Mar 27 '26

It doesn't look great on my mature skin, it ends up exaggerrating crepiness that isn't actually visible without it. Such a shame as it's very nice product and so easy to apply.

6

u/Inner-Damage-9027 Mar 27 '26

I think it really depends per person as for me and my mature skin I think it looks great! That said I only use it in the summer as I can’t stand anything heavier in the heat!

5

u/Tricky-Pin555 Mar 28 '26

It looks horrible on me too. It is literally the ONLY Chanel makeup product that I dislike. They discontinued my FAVORITE the Vitalumiere 😭

I have dry skin and love the glow it gives

15

u/burnt-heterodoxy Mar 27 '26

I liked it well enough but if you have visible pores this just makes them look worse imo. The shade range is also absolutely garbage. They don’t make one pale enough for me lol

6

u/awal95 Mar 27 '26

I just bought this last week and I couldn’t agree more, it just caked right into my pores and stuck in weird clumps around my face. I do love the Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow foundation though!

3

u/burnt-heterodoxy Mar 27 '26

My conspiracy theory is that many of the prestige cosmetic brand foundations only look good on people who already have perfect skin, or don’t have to wear it for a full work shift (bc they don’t have to work). Speaking as a former Tom Ford Beauty employee. The exception is Armani luminous silk who unfortunately is That Girl 😭

15

u/anti_arctica Mar 27 '26

I'm not implying that it isn't good, but it looks like curdled milk to me lol

26

u/RealLifeCrime Mar 27 '26

I was so irritated when I tried it on at ULTA because it was an instant buy for me but it’s expensive af lol

I was looking for a skin tint or a light foundation and I thought this was simply too overhyped so I tried it trying to prove to myself I was right but I loved it instantly.

25

u/NotoriousPineapple Mar 27 '26

The Covergirl Simply Ageless Skin Perfector Essence is supposed to be a pretty good dupe! I've never tried the Chanel to compare but I do really like the CG.

7

u/coffeeblr Mar 27 '26

I saw a video on IG in which someone tested both, and said the CG is a good dupe for the chanel. I bought the CG at Walmart and I am so obsessed with how my skin looks and feels every time I use it! I have combo skin and have found very few products that don't make my dry areas look flaky and patchy.

6

u/EducatedLemonhead Mar 27 '26

Came here to say this. It looks identical and costs twelve bucks at Walmart. 🤷‍♀️

16

u/Woopsied00dle Mar 27 '26

That’s how I felt about Armani Luminous Silk Foundation lol I get so annoyed when high end brands are actually fantastic 😂

4

u/lilynt7 Mar 27 '26

Same. I got the sample size for Armani Luminous Silk. I'm not a foundation person but I wanted to try it. I was very pleasantly surprised! Super lightweight, thin, actual silky feeling. Super expensive and high end but wow it's amazing.

9

u/sidkitten Mar 27 '26

I just made a post about this the other day!! It really is incredible.

3

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

I think it was your post i saw that influenced me too!! X Its like nothing ive tried before

8

u/mrsbaudo Mar 27 '26

It's my most repurchased beauty product from Chanel. My skin is far from perfect (reformed Gen X no SPF sun worshipper) and this provides a blurring effect. This also plays well with organic and nonorganic SPF.

3

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 28 '26

Please share what you have used and what is working as SPF with this. I want to give it a try so badly, but sun protection is super important to me, as I have some hyper pigmentation that I don’t want to get worse.

2

u/mrsbaudo Mar 28 '26

What is your skin type? I have mature skin with plenty of hyperpigmentation for sun exposure. These are a few of the SPFs that I have used with the Water Fresh Tint without issue: Skinbetter Science ToneSmart SPF, Kosas DreamBeam SPF 40 PA++++, Ciele Tint & Protect SPF, DRMTLGY Universal Tinted Moisturizer, INN Beauty Project Mineral Sun Glow, and Saie Slip Tint.

There are many more that I have used, but these are my standouts. I have also used MANY non-tinted K Beauty SPFs that were lovely too. Keep in mind, they did not provide additional coverage due to lack of iron oxides in their formula.

1

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

Super helpful. Also mature (48) , and combo (mostly normal, but oily right around my noise and dry under my eyes and around my mouth). So you use the water tint on top of a tinted product like Ciele or Saie? I was thinking of using it over something transparent or very very sheer like Innbeauty, Tatcha The Silk spf, etc., to check the iron oxides box. I was planning on building up coverage here I need it with complexion touch.

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

Yes, I have used it over Ciele and Saie. These are not my favorite complexion products/SPF. I felt they were overly drying as the day went on and that lead me to using the Water Fresh Tint. In addition to providing a blurring effect, the additional hydration made the Ciele and Saie less drying overall.

My preference for every day use is either DRMTLGY or the Skinbetter Tone Smart.

I have Tatcha The Silk, but never tried using it with the Water Fresh Tint. I actually am going to try that today.

1

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

Let me know how it goes! I have ordered that and the new milky spf - I swatched them recently and the milky one is so thin and absorbs so quickly, but it’s chemical and untinted so less protective. The one from Ranavat seems great - super super sheer and supposedly strong protection. That one also felt nice when swatched. Didn’t love the scent, but it’s tolerable. Sarah Creal staycation might be nice too but I worry it’s too dark. It’s definitely too dark on my hands but my hands are lighter than my face. I might try to get a sample.

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

Preliminary review with Tatcha the Silk and Water Fresh Tint: No issues with balling or pilling. My face feels more dry. No specific areas of tightness. Overall my skin appears matte and no settling into fine lines.

I personally prefer a more dewy finish.

2

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

Thank you for your service!

1

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

Have you tried the RMS Suncoverup, or their radiance spf primer? Or the Tom Ford Foundation with sof? RMS foundation is 30% off today and I’m tempted.

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

No, I have never used any products from RMS Suncoverup.

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

I won't use Tom Ford. The price point is absolutely offensive. Their fiber brow gel is my GOAT, but I have found suitable replacements.

1

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

How sheer is the DRMTLGY?

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

I don't find the DRMTLGY overly sheer, but it is more glowing. You may want to try the DRMTLGY Matte Universal Tinted Moisturizer.

2

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

Got it. My daily is revision Intellishade - love the overall tone and coverage and skincare benefits, but it’s too glowy in summer so will probably try the matte version. I am looking at water resistant options - both tinted and transparent. I’m liking naked Sundays cabana clear, but it does dry down very shiny (not greasy, just a shiny film). I think it’s fine under a satin or natural finish foundation, but most of my foundations are glowy so I fear it will be too much. I also have the tinted version, and that is glowy but in an oily way and I’m not loving it, although I’ve only tried it twice, layered over cabana clear. It’s very slippy slidey, and does not have much coverage on its own.

1

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

And you liked skinbetter? Love the protection and waters resistance but nervous about the tone

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 29 '26

I am a Fitzpatrick phototype II. My main issue with tinted SPF is undertone. I used to enjoy the CeraVe Hydrating Mineral SPF, but they reformulated it several years ago to a much warmer undertone. I have not tried the latest reformulation.

MyChelle offers tinted SPF serums in two colors as well as a non-tinted. You could try this product as your skin is combo. This SPF was too drying for me even with the Water Fresh Tint.

I honestly need to update my SPF spreadsheet with products I have used and notes about performance, etc. My perimenopause brain is struggling! LOL.

2

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Mar 29 '26

I’m light to light medium, can tan, so probably somewhere around Fitzpatrick II-III. I’d take the tint in the medium light shade (my other shades are Dior 1.5N, Patrick Ta 10, Nars Santa Fe) . I also keep a spreadsheet! I have one for spf, foundation/skin tints, and my notes app is overflowing with lists of makeup and skincare I want to try.

1

u/mrsbaudo Mar 30 '26

ISDIN has a tinted SPF that may be up your alley. It was too warm for me. I had to give it away.

2

u/Dazzling_Plan_3712 Apr 02 '26

I think it will be too dark, based on videos I’ve seen of other people putting it on.

1

u/AnnieHappy1102 Apr 24 '26

How do you apply this on top of mineral sunscreen? I thought the water content of this product would move all the sunscreen underneath.

2

u/mrsbaudo Apr 24 '26

My mineral SPF never had been an issue. Once my SPF has dried down, I apply one pump of the Water Fresh Tint by blending with a dry beauty blender type sponge. It also applies well with a BK Beauty Contoured Foundation Brush. My skin is very dry for reference.

6

u/franwebster Mar 27 '26

I love this product too! The fresh water complexion touch version is also very nice when you want a little bit more coverage.

3

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

Im eyeing this up right now, i need something like a concealer to go with the tint. Im just unsure which shade is the lightest one, im always the lightest shade and dont want to get it wrong its spendy!

2

u/Holiday_Cat_7284 Mar 27 '26

I don't rate Chanel's concealers much, although I'm addicted to the water tint, micro creme and loose powder. I've found Nars' concealer works really well with these products (and I've tried every concealer out there for dark circles). I too am very pale and I find Affogato is the best shade for cool toned skin.

6

u/Fit_Zombie4574 Mar 27 '26

Oh I agree, my most used base product, and I have three of 3 Chanel tints among them this is the one I constantly grab for

7

u/peewee-tootsie Mar 27 '26

I love this! It gets better on my skin after a couple of hours, it’s like I have glass skin. I just hate that I love it but it’s so expensive 🥹

6

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

I definetly found it got better the longer i wore it. I really wasnt expecting to see it all still there on my face and how good it looked after 7 + hour

4

u/Proudcatmomma Mar 27 '26

I bought this recently and love it! It is very light coverage but you can build it up. Personally I’m very lucky my skin doesn’t need much coverage. So I love that this just looks like my skin but better and glowy. My friend on the other hand hates it and finds it too light and watery. YMMV

5

u/Pan1953 Mar 27 '26

This used to be my go to a few years ago! I used it for the first time in a while this week and I was reminded why I loved it so much! It's so nice and lightweight and has such a good finish. A staple for the summer months!

6

u/lboiles Mar 27 '26

That brush is so underrated also !! It’s perfect to break up the pigment and prime the brush at the same time. I hopefully will never be without this foundation!!

2

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

Ita so cute i love it

4

u/Holiday_Cat_7284 Mar 27 '26

I will never look back. I don't rate Chanel for some things but their base products are amazing for pale skin. Their loose powder is also the best, along with the Hydra Beauty micro creme. Everything feels water-based and silky, instead of oily. I enjoy putting the stuff on everyday. And it lasted six months for me, so doesn't even work out very expensive over a year.

5

u/Logical_Sprinkles_21 Mar 27 '26

I'm on my 3rd bottle. I love it. ❤️

5

u/Few-Investigator1189 Mar 27 '26

It is AMAZING. It looks equally good on me in my twenties and on my mother in her 50s. It's the only foundation that feels good to me while on Accutane, but it was also amazing when my skin was oily this thingsmy ride or die. even as an olive tone which means a lot

5

u/SadMaryJane Mar 27 '26

I have wanted to try this for a while now and the comments have clinched it 💸

3

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

Please try it. Its so lovely

5

u/smoothjazz00 Mar 27 '26

Don’t agree at all .. it oxidizes and leaves the skin looking botchy

3

u/Red_Whites Mar 27 '26

I just bought a bottle because I was looking for something a bit better than Glossier's skin tint, which is great, but I wasn't loving the way it highlighted my texture and decided to branch out. I was going to go through the whole rigamarole of testing a bunch of skin tints but decided to go for the nuclear option after reading a bunch of good stuff about the Chanel (and loving some celebrity makeup looks that used it) and it's perfect for me. I find the best way to apply is to dot it around my face and use the brush to blend it in.

I think it has more coverage than the Glossier, has more of a blurring effect, and lasts through a work day with minimal changes. I'm 36 with dry skin, acne scarring and some rosacea and am usually the lightest shade in any brand's foundation range, and the Light is a great match. It's such a glowy, my skin but better kind of look. I also don't notice much (if any) fragrance.

5

u/Vast-Estimate-2268 Mar 27 '26

I love it. I’m 48 with some redness but overall pretty good skin and I use a pump or two of this most days and add a touch of concealer where I want a bit more coverage. The bottle lasts a long time and I try to find it on sale.

4

u/Heckybawkins Mar 27 '26

$72 and they still allow their products to be tested on animals….pass.

2

u/archetypewriter Mar 28 '26

I expected more comments about Chanel being in the Epstein files and testing on animals. Pretty ugly for a beauty brand.

8

u/PeachyBaleen Mar 27 '26

I also use this and I’m always surprised how glowy and good my skin looks at the end of the day. I don’t think it works with dramatic makeup because the coverage isn’t quite full enough, but it never gives me any cakiness or separation issues, never irritates my skin. For a daily skin tint, I think it’s perfect

4

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

100% its perfect for day to day. Will try the complexion touch next! I still need a good concealer and this looks like would go really well together

3

u/imperfectsunset Mar 27 '26

I love this so much. Is there any Chanel makeup discount ever? Al Ulta or at Chanel.com? Bloomingdale’s? Neimans? Welppp

9

u/burnt-heterodoxy Mar 27 '26

Nope. Chanel doesn’t go on sale

4

u/Nettebb75 Mar 27 '26

If you are in the uk you can get it 20% off in boots when they do premium beauty events which is pretty much every month

2

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26 edited Mar 27 '26

I just bought 2 chanel blushes on john lewis, they are 20% off atm!

2

u/Nettebb75 Mar 27 '26

I’ll need to get some and store them away!!

1

u/burnt-heterodoxy Mar 27 '26

Dang. In the US they don’t lol

2

u/lil_waine Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26

when macy's has their 15 percent off beauty, in most cases chanel is included but only in store. right now they have their VIP sale and i believe chanel is included.

last year ulta had 20 percent off prestige, including chanel...normally they don't include chanel but last year at that time they did

1

u/imperfectsunset Mar 28 '26

Thank you girlie 🙏

3

u/PinkPooh Mar 27 '26

Totally agree. I am obsessed with this !

3

u/blehblehidk Mar 27 '26

I tried it in the store last week and it was SO good. I am waiting to finish atleast one of my current tints before buying this 😅

3

u/ChristmasThot Mar 27 '26

This is my HG skin tint! I love how dewy and glowing it makes me and I personally like the sheer coverage.

3

u/babettetimes Mar 27 '26

Anyone tried the covergirl dupe of this yet?

1

u/l3monm3ringu3 Mar 27 '26

I really like it! I can’t compare it to Chanel, but it’s pretty nice! I find that I have to kind of take a little extra time to make sure it’s really blended, but it’s really pretty :)

2

u/babettetimes Mar 28 '26

I hope it comes to Australia soon!

7

u/smallbutmighty0 Mar 27 '26

I love this stuff. I use my fingers.

5

u/Background_Swan_3842 Mar 27 '26

I love it as well and rebuy for two years now

5

u/Nettebb75 Mar 27 '26

I’m on my 4th bottle!! I love it so much

2

u/Enough-Skin2442 Mar 27 '26

How long does the fragrance last on you?

4

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

The fragrance is the only thing i dont like, it is quite noticable putting it on, but i dont notice after applying (that or im getting use to it)

3

u/Enough-Skin2442 Mar 27 '26

I won’t wear the Armani Golden Hour tint because of its smell. Makes my throat itch. Which sucks because it goes on so beautifully

2

u/silkonme Mar 27 '26

Yes, I completely agree! It’s a beautiful tint, especially for summer. I’ll also share two standout products that work perfectly together, and one of them is this lightweight tint.

2

u/bananapants_22 Mar 27 '26

It's my fav!

2

u/PortraitofMmeX Mar 27 '26

No fr this stuff is literally magic. I cannot STAND wearing foundation and nothing ever matches my complexion. This is the perfect texture, the perfect shade, the perfect "your skin but better" blurring that lasts forever. I wear an N95 indoors in public and this doesn't even transfer when I'm sitting there sweating. I feel crazy always recommending it in every post but it truly is my holy grail.

Did you get this because of Elisabeth on TikTok? Bc same lol. I do love it as a summer tint!

Yes!! I also kept buying expensive foundations recently have tried haus labs, natasha denona, new estee lauder double wear, mac studio radiance. This one tops all of them! those foundations all looked cakey and seperated and just like to makeupy. This one just looks the best, really wasnt expecting much from it as ita only a tint but it did much more then those foundations did. It looks like ive applied nothing on but at the same time covers my redness and blurs and i have a glow. Its what i wanted from a base product all along

I also love it but I’ve never been a heavy foundation wearer & my skin is clear. I think it just brightens the face & gives it a lit within look. There is next to no coverage. It’s also quite refreshing. I live in a very hot dry climate so it is perfect for me.

I hate it. So expensive but gave very little coverage. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

I tried this today! I really liked its watery texture since my skin is quite dry. The lightest shade was a tad bit light on me and the second shade was darker than my skin tone. Once blended out, both seemed fine. I must be in between those two shades. Do you have any recommendation about which shade I should get? Did it oxidize over time?

I got it I love it so much

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 28 '26

Yayyy im happy you love it too. It really looks nicer as the day goes on too imo. What shade did you get?

1

u/MusicExcellent9147 Mar 28 '26

I got shade light and it’s perfect for me

I love a light coverage foundation

Shade Light

I'm hearing polar opposites from both sides... I don't want super heavy foundation look, and I am seeing that many love or hate it.. is there a foolproof to know what to look for in this product?

u/SwordfishResident256 Mar 27 '26

this looks like the Rose Inc stuff

u/theminnierox Mar 27 '26

I agree that is really good but strangely enough it is now promoted by quite a lot of influencers. I spend a lot of time on the clock app and every 3rd video is of this product.

Has anyone compared this to Dior Forever Glow Star Filter? I would be interested to hear the pros/cons in comparison

u/Dulce59 Mar 27 '26

Do you use a primer with it? I'm curious to try it now, it sounds lovely the way you described it :)

If you (or anyone) could recommend a good primer for oily skin with visible pores I would be super grateful 🤍

1

u/No-Skin-5563 Mar 27 '26

No i just did my usual moisturiser and byoma SPF. Hoping you get some good primer recs i have dry skin myself

2

u/Dulce59 Mar 27 '26

That's amazing that you got such good results without any primer! Now I'm even more interested hehe. Thank you! :)

I adore how this product looks on me but it always makes me break out if I use it on its own, weirdly it's fine if I mix it with another product (I've been using it to sheer out foundations)

Ugh I bought it and LOVED it but it made my face itchy. I think I’m sensitive to the fragrance (has not happened before).

u/l3monm3ringu3 Mar 27 '26

I want to buy this SO BAD 😩😩😩 but I work outside and my makeup def wears off throughout the day. I find it a little unreasonable of me to buy the Chanel one just to sweat it all off at work 😔 I do like the Cover Girl Skin Perfector Essence though!

How much is it x

1

u/Winter_Key_4210 Mar 28 '26

What about Chantecaile ? It is very light as well.

I have only worn Chanel makeup for 10 years and I have to say I did not like this foundation at all. It causes major separation and settles into lines I didn't know I even had. 🫤 I would have returned it but I threw away the packaging. I much prefer the Les Beige foundation formula. Its lightweight but blends much nicer.

In this economy?

They have another one with a bit more coverage in a round bottle I just discovered it and I actually like it better because of the coverage. It does feel a bit more like foundation than this one though.

u/_bedouin_ Mar 28 '26

I need someone who has tried both this and Lisa Eldridge’s Tint to do a comparison.

1

u/milesfrost Mar 28 '26

so i went in to the chanel counter today after this one and they talked me into trying the next one up the complexion touch. they colour matched me perfectly, the coverage was perfect.....after 3 hours of wear it is pilling and rubbing off, highlighting pores, all the bad things. i walked up to that counter with only a primer base on.

SO DISAPPOINTED :( If anyone can recommend a match for colour B20 in another brand i'd be incredibly grateful.

Wish i hadn't purchased it on the spot because now i have to return it ( 1 hour drive away!)

u/justhalfcrazy Mar 28 '26

Yes!! This is my go to. I wish it had more shades but I own 10 and 30 and mix depending on season/how tan I am. It also mixes well with Armani luminous silk when I want even more coverage and a slightly matter finish

Less really is more with the water fresh tint. It isn’t really a buildable foundation for me, using enough for full coverage makes it extremely obvious I’m wearing foundation but using just enough/less than “enough” really gives natural skin but better.

I remember buying this when it first came out and it was 10-20$ less than the complexion touch (since it’s less pigmented I’m guessing). Those days are gone lol

u/Accomplished_Car_834 Mar 28 '26

When I first tried it I GRUMBLED about how it looks like nothing and it's way too expensive to look like nothing.

But after seeing my bare face again that evening, and even more so several times after that, I realized it truly is pretty and have been on the fence about it for months (bc I don't typcially wear base makeup so I can prioritize reapplication of sunscreen).

Recently impulse buy for me. I love it for minimal makeup days, kinda wish I didnt! Blends super easy, barely there my skin but better kinda deal that helps even out my redness and tone, wears so well throughout the day. Out of all skin tint/tinted moisturizers ive ever tried, this is the ONLY product I've found that truly feels like wearing nothing. I hope it wears well in the summer heat, tbd!

I absolutely hate this stuff and do not understand why it’s being spoken about so much at the moment. It doesn’t last at all and just doesn’t sit right. And I love a pricy, light coverage, natural foundation!! I am 31 too and I thought this would be perfect…it’s horrific
