Confused
I keep on hearing that most ladies do not want to get pregnant or married anymore, but whenever i pass by maternity wards at public hospitals; i am appalled/impressed/confused by how many ladies are getting pregnant.
I suppose there is a whole world out there which minds its own business.

Ladies who dont want kids in Malawi make up less than 1% of the population and i dont think you will find them at the hospital giving birth.Maybe try going to other places.

Look at the statistics and news birth rates are declining all over the world. Especially in countries where women are educated. You might think that more women are giving birth but the statistics say otherwise. A lot of governments a literally trying to incentivise women to keep having kids.

And not just education, as wealth levels in a household increase, they tend to have less kids. And the maternity ward thing is mostly women from rural and peri-urban areas who are still having kids. Most women in urban areas (more educated and more wealth) are delaying/ choosing not to get married and start having kids. Go visit private hospitals and check their maternity wards.

Most of the women not wanting kids are the educated type. They're too busy and have been fed a lot of information.

They are now just as busy as men and fed as much knowledge as men. And, they also have the same jobs as men. Isnt this lovely? Nah..its golden!

Somehow still expects men to cover their expenses / spoiled.

I cover my own expenses always.. but I support married women who want their husbands to cater for their expenses and the family expenses because domestic labour and childcare is rarely shared in Malawi. Marrying a man who earns more than you or pays the bills is the only available benefit to Malawian women in marriage.

I told the same thing to someone, that just because iyeyo feels that way, doesnt mean other females outhea agree with it. Theyre just misinformed and angry they cant have the man they fantasize about while men get their dream woman all the time.

Mwabwela kudzalila kuno🤣🤣🤣. You’re the misinformed one actually😹. Meanwhile you’re just upset that women don’t want you so you’re projecting and telling yourself that they can’t have the men they fantasise about meanwhile they don’t fantasise about men at all. If YOU specifically got the women you wanted you wouldn’t be in every thread crying about women not wanting kids.

"Men get their dream woman all the time" Bro 😂 You're in a for rude awakening.

Well not literally “dream girl” but it is easier for a man to find someone to settle down with that it is for a woman.

Because a majority of men, no matter how enlightened they may seem - have low standards.

Hey, sometimes your environment shapes your perspective. You literally mentioned passing by maternity wards, so naturally, you're surrounded by women giving birth, and that's what you're likely to focus on. But now, as you've mentioned, you're on a platform with many different types of women, so you're able to hear different perspectives. It's like if my office were opposite Chichiri Prison, I might start thinking everyone is in jail. But if I moved to Kristwick, I might think everyone owns a shop! 😂 Do you get what I mean? That's the power of social media: you get to hear what people think from all corners of the world. But hahaha, I hear you, and I'm sharing a laugh with you too!
