Sure buddy, keep telling yourself your shredded plastic cheeses are worldwide famous and award worthy 😂

As in tied for 5th place out of 5,244 entries last year.

A bunch of people on this sub are really ignorant.

You sound silly.

Guaranteed you don’t have a place like Wegmans or HEB in your country. The US has tons of fancy ass cheese, most major grocery stores have endless fresh cheese of all varieties behind refrigerated glass that you can pick out and have weighed. Sliced and shredded cheeses are just a few types from an endless cheese selection.

We have a lot of problems, but a lack of selection and variety of good food is not one of them.

Supermarkets? Your supermarkets are not actually cheese mongers. They have fancier cheeses than most Americans are used to but you need to actually go to specialty shops.

How would most Americans not be used to those cheeses if they’re in supermarkets—the place where most Americans shop?

This is pretty ignorant. You can buy local and import specialty cheeses at a normal supermarket.

As a Canadian, you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about mate

America has a ton of dedicated cheese and charcuterie shops. I have one minutes from my house that has essentially nothing but cheese, meats, wine, and various cheese plate snack items like bread, dried fruit and nuts

A large grocery chain (Kroger) bought Murray Cheese Shop, a cheese monger, and now has what are essentially branches of that shop in their stores. That means I have ready access to a variety of cheeses from both Europe and the US.

I mean…we have tons of specialty shops for really well curated cheese selections, but even regular grocery stores carry a pretty wide array of rather nice domestic and foreign cheeses.

Yeah everyone knows good cheese turns into bad cheese if the store it's sold in also sells other things

My midwestern US grocery store chain literally has cheese mongers.

That’s an outright lie. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

And you retards think a monger isn't a specialty shop?

Trying to imagine how insecure someone would have to be to hit "send" on this

Oh sweetie, lblrss your heart 🤣

Yeah, most Americans don't go to supermarkets, lol

Did you read what you wrote before posting?

Not really true. Just like standalone butchers in America are rare, so are cheesemongers and fishmongers. Why? Because we integrated them into our grocery stores decades ago to simplify the shopping experience. You go to one place and get all your food needs met rather than having to go shop at a half dozen different places.

u/AlmiranteCrujido 4d ago

I mean, they're not Zabar's but most supermarkets have some better cheese options.

Everything that has ever been sold of value in your country can be found in an American Supermarket. Learn your place.

We have lots of cheese to choose from. This is just half the cheese section at Trader Joe’s. I was sending a pic to hubby so he can pick. We also have specialty cheese shops.

Just because your supermarkets suck ass doesn't mean ours do

America makes a lot of really great cheese. It’s not our fault you’re too ignorant to know that

Where are you from? I'd like to find your cheap regional convenience items and pretend they are the sum total of what you eat.

2

u/oh_youre_that_guy 5d ago

He's Mexican.

4

u/FatsBoombottom 5d ago

Shit, that's too easy. It's basically the same junk food as in the US.

u/icemanspy007 10d ago

This is the delusion you speak of lol. Uninformed people only think of Kraft cheese lol.
