Advice New user, having trouble with pen

So Im a new user, the first thing I actually bought was a pen but the guy who sold it to me was kinda shadey and everyone said he ripped me off.

Currently Ive had to stop using the pen because 1. Sometimes nothing comes out even if I preheat it multiple times and 2. The past few rimes Ive used it it felt like I was breathing in burning metal or some shit and I felt horrible after. At first Id thought it was an issue with it not being charged fully but Ive checked and it acts up like that all the time so I just stopped.

Im hoping that this is just an issue with my cart but Im kinda scared to buy something similar as I dont know if its just gonna be the same as this. What should I do?

How much usually is the flower and how long would it last?

So much depends on where you live and who you’re dealing with.I’m in Missouri which is a legal state and ounces run around $150 an ounce at the dispensary but some states that same amount could be from $20 to $300 and up.Most people buy a quarter ounce and as far as how long it lasts depends on how much you smoke at a time and how often.

Carts/pens are pretty mid compared to some nice flower.

Buy a legit pen, i hear that cheap ones don’t work consistently
