For anyone looking for Markham drop-in programs
My family uses City swimming and skating programs quite a bit, and one thing I always found frustrating was having to check multiple pages just to see what drop-in options were available.
So I put together a simple free tool for my own use that brings them together in one place:
We've been using it ourselves for a while, and I figured some other Markham residents might find it useful too.
Have a good day!

I never want to get involved in Markham since itās so overwhelmingly dominated by one race. Very isolating for everyone else.

You can also switch to the GTA area if you're interested in programs outside Markham. It includes nearby cities as well.

Honestly, same. We end up driving to other municipalities and joining their programs because of it, even though it costs twice as much. I will say though, IMO itās more of a language & cultural exclusion issue vs race. My husband is asian but only speaks English and also avoids Markham rec after he joined a rec volleyball league and his team would only speak to each other in Chinese, and he was extremely isolated.

Could you add a feature that allows you to download the data in an xlsx format for each region?

Thanks for the suggestion! DropInNow is mainly designed to help people find local drop-in activities, so I'm not sure how useful an Excel export would be for end users. But I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the feedback!

This is cool, thanks. Would it be possible to add how many spots left for each activity, as well as what time registration opens (resident and nonresident)?
