Meme I never thought there would be an occasion where I'd explained the difference between these 2.

I haven't kept up with Neuro, but I recently got reccomended some clips of the twins in a roadtrip game or smth. Glad that they're still fun as ever lol.

also neuro has a character “animated” (as in speaking and interacting with chat) using ai while miku doesnt have anything like that. both characters have their personalities broadly defined by humans tho

Isn't the second one just an ai slop bot? Or is this just a similar model
14
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
Define "AI slop"...
If you're talking about low effort spam, you're totally wrong.

u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Made with ai, there is no such thing as good ai, and you better not start that fucking conversation on a sub of a community that thrived with art for decades, if you are artificially intelligent, but still know what's best for you, you'll keep your mouth shut
16
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
Saying Neurosama is made with AI is like saying a "robot is made with AI", not only it disregard the engineer, it's show how ignorant you're on the subject
Also, the playlist I linked is Animated Music Videos created by actual music production team, human animators, and a vocaloid producer. Saying they "made with AI" is insulting those human creatives.
sub of a community that thrived with art for decades
Thrived with art, but then goes to insult other's art, despite doing the exact same thing.

You asked me to define ai, i defined it, then you say i'm insulting people?
14
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
Yeah, if you create something from your hardworks then some random people call it "you just pressing button on machine", you would also consider it insulting aren't you?

Omg don't even try with your "prompting is hard" bullshit, you genuinely can't even think for yourself, you are literally a living sack of potatoes, for the lack of a better term, a waste of oxygen, everything you're capable, your beloved grok or claude can do 10x as fast and better, and better yet, any human can do it 50x better, did you even think before you typed that? Oh wait, you lost the ability to think long ago

u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
Omg don't even try with your "prompting is hard" bullshit
Bro... Like I said, the project hired Music production team, Animators, and programmer.
At which point am I saying "prompting is hard"!? What I'm saying you are the one who dismiss human creative like vocaloid producer as writing prompts.

u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Don't lie, you described prompting, "pressing buttons on a machine" is what prompting is, i never once said anything about the human creators behind her, stop twisting my words, is that really all you can do to won an argument? Twist people's words? Your own point is so bad you can't even defend it
13
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
Don't lie, you described prompting, "pressing buttons on a machine" is what prompting is
Yes, that's what prompting is.
So is typing essay, and programming, and hacking, etc, etc.
never once said anything about the human creators behind her, stop twisting my words
I'm talking about the creators behind her, and then you goes into rant about "prompting isn't hard" and "you're trash". I didn't need to twist your words, they twisted enough as they are.
14
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
You: Omg don't even try with your "prompting is hard" bullshit
Also you: you described prompting, "pressing buttons on a machine" is what prompting is
You couldn't even maintain a same argument.

Unfortunately for you, it isn't prompting. It's actually a really well made music, composed by actual people, with neuro-sama singing, and just so happened to have a synthetic voice. Neruo-sama is also someone who, as I said in a previous comment replying to you, is privately ran on Vedals on servers in his home

Slop is for low effort stuff, right?
I don't think she's slop, though she is AI, we've seen her progress for a couple years now and she definitely has gone through some improvement over time.
-6
u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Wow, evolved chatgpt, yeah, no problem with that, sure... What the fuck? Just what the fuck? Also it's not a "her", it's a bunch of ones and zeroes with no human rights
14
u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 1d ago
And Miku is just machine that spit out voice.
It doesn't stop us from calling her with female pronoun.
In fact, people call inanimate objects with gendered pronoun since the dawn of time.

u/Cintrao 1d ago
neuro is very far from low effort, asshole
-4
u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Anything generated by ai is by definition slop, you braindead moron
11
u/Cintrao 1d ago
neuro is not generated by an ai, you dipshit

u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Sure, the "ai streamer" is a person, right... Grow a braincell someday, they're useful
6
u/Veriah_Lupi 1d ago
Since the other person would rather not explain, she's an ai streamer locally hosted, updated, and coded, by an actual human named Vedal. All of this is done in his own home on his own servers. It doesn't take any resources from the public other than what he pays for them
4
u/Cintrao 1d ago
dont bother, he just reads AI and gets mad.
3
u/Veriah_Lupi 1d ago
Well I figured I'd explain what it actually was, so he could at least be informed

Researchers use AI to advance medicine.
Does that also slop by your definition?
2
u/fishcumsalesman 1d ago
Not only can they do that without it, what if the ai gets something wrong, or hallucinates? It does that, it does that all the time and it has caused disasters, if scientists rely on ai too much, they'll make mistakes that could have horrible consequences, they won't know how to fix said mistakes, and most importantly they won't even know what they're doing, so all that progress just won't actually exist. Every field started applying ai as soon as it came out, it doesn't matter how important it is, it's using ai because ai promised to be "the future" and to cut costs, and that's exactly what shareholders and greedy corpos love to hear

u/RyouhiraTheIntrovert 7h ago
what if the ai gets something wrong, or hallucinates?
You talking like researchers don't have brain.
You are so tunnel visioned on "people over relying on AI" that you couldn't comprehend people with brain using AI.
The rest of your comment is just saying "what if people who use AI are incompetent?", which is dump.

for a little bit of context for ones thinking this comparison come out of nowhere.
Toxic Gossips Train by SnappyDoodled has this part where Teto mentioned a extended list of vocaloids, the last one being mentioned is Neuro.
so naturally, some people would point out that Neuro isn't really a voice synthesizer like vocaloid, and more casual commenters would ask what exactly the difference.
